At Gracie Barra America we strive to help students get the most out of their training. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu becomes a life-style and students can readily enjoy all the benefits of the Jiu-Jitsu or the Gentle Art. My life is dedicated to Jiu-Jitsu. My goal was simply to build a brotherhood to lead the expansion of BJJ while respecting the essence of our art.
My students are an extension of my family. I want each one of them to achieve their personal best while helping spread Jiu-Jitsu. We must do that honoring the traditions and efforts of those who came before us. The class structure is the trademark of all Gracie Barra Schools. On and off the mats the ones who attain the Black Belt rank become synonymous with experience, wisdom and knowledge. Above all the Black Belts become an example to be followed. No matter what part of the world you are, if you are a Black Belt, you are also a reference. People around you are inspired by you and wish to tread the same path to also achieve the rank of Black Belt.

At the heart of the Gracie Barra Familys extraordinary success over the years is our strong philosophy and mission as a group, a foundation which our masters laid many years ago, but is constantly being reinforced by the great people that make our community. Jiu-Jitsu is a beautiful art, and we have a vision of how it should be taught as a means for individual development going beyond the competitive realm.
Top performing fighters and individuals follow a common set of principles that sustain their success. The practice of Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu allows individuals to understand these principles through an exciting process that combines instruction, observation, practice, appropriate feedback, live training and competition.
The Gracie Barra Black Belt Program is the last stage in GBs adult program structure. While it does represent the students arrival at the ultimate level of training in our school, it also represents a new beginning. The goal of this program is to further develop the students Jiu-Jitsu game flow by exposing him or her to cutting edge Jiu-Jitsu techniques and their variations.
