Lifeskills Martial Arts
We are proud to have served Irvine and Orange County for over 23 years as the only Martial Arts University in Southern California offering beginner to university level courses in Complete (physical, psychological, and emotional) Martial Arts.

Combining 2,800 years of Japanese tradition with the real-life experience of High Stress Scenario/personal-protection expert Chuck Cory, Lifeskills Martial Arts offers adaptable classes beginning at 5 years old, and continuing on to our Premiere Senior Citizen program: "The Art of Living."Each of our instructors has been LMA Certified and has a minimum of 22 years of experience studying Ninjutsu and Bujinkan Budo.
Services
Lifeskills Martial Arts is the premier Bujinkan Ninjutsu dojo in Southern California. We offer a realistic and comprehensive study of self defense for today's warrior, forged in 2,800 years of samurai tradition. The Nine Schools of the Bujinkan taught here are comprised of six authentic, ancient samurai schools and three secret schools of ninjutsu.
We offer classes for every level, and each class is capped at 15 people so everyone can get the individual attention they need. All classes are first-come, first-served, so please show up 10-15 minutes early. If a class gets full, our trainers are happy to give personalized pointers. From breathing exercises to stress-conflict training, learn to win when you're outnumbered, outmatched & off-guard.
Each of our instructors has been LMA Certified and has a minimum of 22 years of experience studying Ninjutsu and Bujinkan Budo. The nature of personal-protection and Complete Martial Arts has enabled us to teach (and continue offering) classes for the blind, deaf, mute, students in wheelchairs, children with ADD, Autism, Aspergers Syndrome, and more.

The only place I know that teaches you how to be a ninja!
Great place to learn true life skills. I have taken a few classes and I am excited to take more soon. Will be telling my friends to come here.

This place is amazing! We had my six year olds birthday party here and couldn't have been happier. It was ninja themed. The staffed worked with me to order the piƱata and balloons, the place was set up really cute when we arrived. There was plastic covering the sand area and swords/trophies (smart!) and the kids all had a blast running around to the different stations. The rock climbing wall was a huge hit! Almost every parent complimented us on the place. The staff was amazing with kids and parents alike. I cannot recommend this place enough for a martial arts kids party!!

Pretty much the only actual traditional katana school in the Irvine area. Chuck, one of the most nicest and talented men I've met, was very welcoming and actually knew what he was talking about.

I have a 2nd degree black belt and I thought I knew the art of the sword but I learned so much from just one seminar.

There was also this lady named Cathy, and she was just one of the most adorable and sincere people I've met. I felt so much more comfortable having her presence around.

If I lived near the area, I would definitely attend here. However I live over 45 min away so I'll

I love this place! I've been training in this dojo for over a year now, but in this art for over nine years. The greatest thing about Chuck is that he is a battle tested instructor. His life experiences have reinforced the art he has learned directly from Hatsumi-our Grandmaster. I highly recommend this dojo.

My partner and I wanted to start a new martial art both to get in shape and to learn new skills. We have now been training at Lifeskills for about 3 weeks and it has been great so far. The adult classes are great and I love the variety, it's not the same drills week in and week out. Each teacher brings something different to the table and does an excellent job of making sure everyone in class is learning something at their level. We've checked out Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri evening classes and have settled in to a 3 nights a week training schedule, but there is a lot of flexibility, as you

Very pleased with this program for kids. They also have adult classes. My son is thriving in this program, earns patches, has life skills mentoring and materials. Instructors are pro-family, respectful, and encourage integrity.

Mind, Body & Spirit. Lifeskills MA helps children and adults in improving these three items essential to life. From initial consultation with Max, to class up to 4 times a week, and monthly seminars on everything from awareness in high stress scenarios to live kitana training, Lifeskills MA is where it's at. I will enjoy training with some of the world's finest instructors for the rest of my days. I cherish every moment in the dojo with people I am proud to call friends. Kudos to Patty & Madeline as they do an amazing job with our little dragons, some of the coolest little

Make no mistake, this place can get pretty pricey, but the staff is top notch. It took quite some time for me to get my bearings, but each and every one of these guys would literally stop the class to make sure I was properly squared away before proceeding to the more advanced techniques.

Classes teach a huge gamut of skills: everything from swordfighting and tumbling to joint locks, counters, and breathing. Classes will make you sweat, but you'll leave happier, stronger, and more comfortable in your own skin. Every time.
