The only value this place brings is it's location. I've traveled to many cities around the world and am totally fine roughing it but I am a young female solo traveling and aware of my surroundings & I've had better hostel experiences than this hotel. Hands down the worst hospitality I have ever received. No security measures, room stank of stale pee, and the comforters were clearly unkept. This is not worthy of a 3 star hotel in NYC. It's all false advertising as the photos are NOT what you actually get. I didn't end up completing my reservation despite no refund as

This is the kind of little gem you do NOT want to share, except with your favorite people. OF course you want them to be successful, but it is so good I want to keep it for myself! The staff is amazing, the GM Kieth is truly the best. He made our experience extra special with all the little touches, even in this modest, yet beautiful little find. I am a NYer, I have never had to stay in a hotel. I chose this one for the location and the boutique feel. When I got there, I was blown away. The bedding is luxurious, the fixtures are beautiful, the location COULD NOT BE BETTER. The staff, incredible

This hotel is definitely not a 3-star hotel, I've stayed in 1 star hotels much much nicer than this. Be aware of additional tourism fee of $23 per accommodation per night. They also said I won't be charged until I arrive but I got charged a large amount morning of before my check in.
The hotel itself was in a great location, but the room was very subpar. We arrived at night and there is only a dim doorway light and a dim bedside table lamp (the room was still very dark). There's was a huge hairball on the floor. The wallpaper was stained and peeling. No exhaust in the restroom, and the light kept

I cannot emphasize enough to not stay here. The rooms are not as pictured - they are shoeboxes and the "queen" beds are a twin + maybe 1/4 of a twin. We set the AC to 54 and all sweat all night, no one slept and considered sleeping 4 on the floor of an apartment instead of this hotel. When we arrived, there were stains covering the floor (which is a gym mat) and stains all over the wall. All 4 woke up with a cold- when we discovered the AC unit was loaded with dust and mold. When getting in bed, it smelled like a man's B.O. and multiple pubes / hairs were found. When we spoke to

One word: gross. Found hairs in my bed and yellow stains on my towels. Safe to say i would never stay here again. Not only is it gross, but when I got here they said they had no rooms even though I have booked one. A guy quickly went up and "made" me a room. I swear this place was not cleaned before I got here.

This is literally the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I'm a 24 year old graduate student... I am not picky, I am not high maintenance, I can and have roughed it MANY times. But this is unacceptable. We check in at 3pm, go up into the elevator (which makes a lot of noise and is super scary sounding-- took the stairs going forward) and we get to our room. It is TINY and looks nothing like the pictures online. I should have taken a picture of the room. I look at the bed and there's a p*be, obviously it is not mine I just got there. I brush it off and check the sheets for bed bugs

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
This hotel doesn't come close to general health standards. When we arrived at our room, there was a mysterious red stain plastered on the bottom of the door. I don't think it was blood but there is no way to be sure. There was a chunk of hair sticking out of the AC unit which didn't look human ( I am extremely allergic to pet dander).
Maybe the most flagrant offense was the queen bed with 2 (TWO) throw pillows lazily tossed onto it. When I called the front desk to ask for more pillows, I was told, "we don't have any extras" which is funny,

The place was very disgusting. The ice bucket was dirty. It looked like they haven't cleaned in a long time. The television was not working and the manager didn't even help. We also had problems opening the window. I felt super trapped. I told the manager after the ending of my visit and I have not been compensated for my uncomfortably. I would never come here again especially for such an expensive price

I was digging this spot for awhile... Location is everything to me. However, the last time I booked here I was staying on the 3rd floor and I think I was definitely a guest to the room because a super duper huge water bug (cockroach) jump on the desk and crawled over my laptop. I couldn't get it because I didn't want to wreck my property. Then it flew!!! Yes it flew and it freaked me out! I couldn't kill it, it was in awkward positions every attempt. Then it disappeared to only come back out in the morning to say hello. Never will I use this hotel as a workspace.

DON'T TRUST THEM!
I stood here recently and, a day later, I see that I was charged an extra $200.
I call to inquire and I'm told it's a smoking fee. For one, I never smoked in my LIFE! Secondly, nobody ever contacted me about this imaginary situation.
Management never contacted me. I'm told by front desk, with an attitude, that the manager (Patricia) just confirmed that I did smoke in this room. No evidence or anything. I would think before you would take someone's hard earned money that you would at least contact them about it.
These people are thieves. I actually

This place was the most disgusting place I have ever been in. I booked with Expedia and saw some good reviews. Little to my knowledge, did I imagine having to spend hours on the phone with a representative due to the cleaning issues.
For starters, when I arrived I asked the front desk office if they were able to take cash. When I came back to check in I had the cash ready and the front desk lady was rude and told me they don't take cash. I advised her that I would not have a place to stay due to the misinformation from the previous rep. It was disregarded and when I asked to speak a manager

It is by far the dirtiest hotel I ever stayed at
The shower curtains reeks of mold
The beds had a weird odor when we looked under the sheets it was covered in stains
Under the bed was even worse
There was so many dust bunnies and dirt
There was also some wrappers and boxes under the bed
There was also no hand soap in the room so we used body wash as soap
Would not go again
Worst thing about this all is that it was on Valentine's day
And my date saw all this while I was out

Like sleeping in the street - the windows don't cancel out any noise. We tried using a noise maker - didn't help at all (even if you're on a high floor). The problem is that the hotel is located next to a busy street, and you can hear cars honking, drunken people yelling and construction 24/7.
In addition, the rooms are extremely tiny and very very basic.

I guess this was sorta ok given that we found it on a hotel aggregator and it was the cheapest thing we could find in the neighborhood, but.... it was $250/night and the roof leaked.
It rained a couple days on the week we stayed here (mid-August 2016) and this somehow caused a water leak on our floor (not the top floor) as well as in the lobby. How run down does a building have to be for rain to cause a leak on multiple floors that aren't the top floor? I get that Manhattan hotels are expensive, but for $250/night I'd expect the hotel to keep me dry.

Whew, this was a very sobering experience. I travel to New York 1x per month for work, so I'm no stranger to NYC hotels. But I thought i'd try something new, and the pictures did look nice. And it's in a fun location right near Little Italy and Chinatown. Good food all around!
But unfortunately, my experience wasn't great. The hotel overall didn't look quite like the pictures- it hasn't been kept up since those were taken, and it feels kind of dark and cramped.

Finding a clean room in a hotel at a decent price is all I ask in New York City. Oh yeah and a great location in a safe neighborhood close to the subway. A queen-size bed would be essential. OK, a strong shower with plenty of hot water. No need to call me Princess, but you can give me a corner queen, which is exactly what I got for three nights with all of the above included. Sure, $306 per night is a princely sum but not in a location within hollering distance of Little Italy, Chinatown and SoHo. Not that I have any reason to holler since I'm not a New Yawker, but if I wanna holler, I oughta
