We had the most wonderful experience this week at the Dominick. Little did I know, my boyfriend (now fiance) was planning to propose during our stay. The staff was so accommodating and celebratory and kind, they made the our stay so special and unforgettable. The staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. Felix, one of the employees, helped us during our checkout and he was quick, efficient and friendly.
Couldn't recommend enough! 10/10!

We had an unpleasant experience at the Dominick, mostly involving the staff and customer service. We checked in very late and were up-sold a room that was supposedly bigger, but was exactly the same size. We settled on a room but shortened our stay.
I got the impression that the staff just did not care about our satisfaction. For instance, there is a $10 "Admin Fee" on top of the typical hotel high prices for room service ($44 for eggs and sausage) with myriad other fees for room service (gratuity, resort fee, etc). This additional Admin Fee is an insult. When I addressed it with

This is not a rating of the hotel, but of the reservation cancellation process. After making a reservation through an affiliated website and getting a confirmation directly from the hotel, I called the hotel the day before arrival to cancel the reservation. At booking, I recalled the cancellation date was the day before arrival.
The call to the number on the confirmation was to the hotel which was forwarded to a reservation line. After 25 minutes of holding, the reservationist attempted to cancel the reservation but eventually said I was a couple of hours late and there would be a one night

The best part of this hotel is the location. The second best is the staff who are consistently great, especially the doormen. Overall, all things considered, I've stayed here before and I'll stay here again, still grumbling about the stuff I don't like. But I'll stay here again.
Formerly the Trump Soho, before he was bought out and it was renamed in the late 2010s, this place still has that superficial glitz but shoddy and at times impractical underneath vibe.
Impractical?
1. Four elevators for a building this size. Seemingly too few service elevators

The Dominick is one of the most luxurious hotels in NYC. Pre- pandemic this was my go to spot so I was elated to return for a second visit to celebrate my birthday. I was very disappointed with my stay.
Prior to arrival my partner notified them it was my birthday and requested. Champagne along with a bucket of ice and glades in the room notifying them of our arrival time and they advised he just check with concierge upon arrival. A lot of luxury hotels usually take accommodation requests prior to arrival and just add the charge so it was unfortunate they were not accommodating. Also, upon check

Location. Location. Location.
Simply put, The Dominick is the closest to everything I want to see and do while I’m in town (shopping, street art, and exceptional smaller local restaurants). Tack on a staff that genuinely excels at hospitality, *the views*, *that pool*, and the always pleasant, often surprising totally random elevator exchanges with fellow guests and The Dominick quite easily dominates the top of the short list my favorite hotels to stay throughout the world. I really don’t think to stay anywhere else while I’m in town anymore.

Checked in today and was quite disappointed to be given a room with a filthy floor that looked like they tried to clean and was still wet. I have a one year old and with her putting everything in her mouth, having her crawl around a filthy floor will definitely not end well. Call down to the front desk to let them know how disappointed I was because of the floor with my daughter and she said they didn't know I had a baby(I let them know I had a child when booking and there was a crib in my room when I arrived.) the manager called me and basically said he could downgrade my room or wait until

So even after leaving a 1 star review due to their horrible customer service and whomever it was telling me they were going to "look into it" after seeing it on Yelp, I still have NOT heard from anyone. So this is 7 phone calls, numerous emails and a response on Yelp, and nada. We're now having our travel agent find us a new hotel. How hotels stay in business with service this bad I have no idea.

The rooms are spacious. The service is good. They do try to ensure you have a good stay. The pool is nice. Make sure you go there and make a reservation, although spots tend to open up. Grab some snacks at Trader Joe's across the street. I've enjoyed massages at the spa. If you are with children take them to Vesuvius playground and they can hang out in Soho Square. The Color Factory is across the street and always a good time.

Nice and comfortable room but a very bizarre feature will keep me from staying again. There was no door to the bathroom. Just open. Just no privacy to take a bath or anything. Otherwise the room was quite spacious bath was fabulous and even the couch was extremely comfortable. Poolside was cute with a nice cafe outside. The doorman had made a big mistake of giving us the wrong luggage in our car and we made it all the way to the Hamptons before noticing. They were very quick to fix the issue by sending someone out to switch them.

My date wanted to treat us to a staycation on Memorial Day weekend by getting us a room so we can lay in the sun by the pool and just hang out, but the weather was HORRID so we went this past weekend instead. It was a scorching Saturday and we just needed a place to soak up the sun and relax. We both have very demanding jobs (more so him than I) so our weekends need to be nothing but sunshine and stress-free.
After we did the whole check in stuff, we immediately went to the pool area. At first, they told us they didn't have room for us to lounge around, which almost freaked out my guy, but

I just got off the phone with Musa, Front Office Manager, who informed me that the hotel will not be honoring my reservation at the price that I was guaranteed by the representative on Monday May 24th.
All he did was :
1. Tell me he would honor today's Agoda price, not the price when I made the reservation on May 24th, see below as I was promised and advised by YOUR representative.
2. He told me he was the highest ranking person a the hotel and there was nobody else I could speak to to fix the problem.
3. The only option he gave was to cancel my reservation.
4. That although there is an investigation

I am so extremely disappointed already with this hotel and I haven’t been here a whole 24 hours yet. This is my wedding anniversary weekend and every year we come to New York and celebrate here since we both love this city so much. We look for beautiful rooms with great views that we will enjoy. I found the Dominic Hotel online and loved what I saw, so I reserved my room and anxiously awaited for my trip. When I booked I reserved a Skyline View room, a little pricey but hey I said no problem. Well when I get to the hotel I’m addition to my room charge with taxes and fees they advised that I

Had an amazing stay with my mom at this hotel. Wonderful location - close to the subway, Trader Joe’s and lots of restaurants. Staff was super helpful and responsive. We had an issue with one of the floor lamps, called the front desk and the service people came over within 10 min to fix the issue. Would definitely come back again!

I was invited to a private event held on one of the top floors - maybe the 32nd floor? I can't remember, because a very helpful staff member walked me over from the lobby to the elevator and punched in the floor number for me.
Once I walked into the cocktail party, I could barely tear my eyes away from the amazing night time views of the city and the NJ skyline. Just stunning. It was surreal and just gorgeous.
There was an open bar - I don't really drink so hoorah for diet cokes - LOL. Nice bartender who didn't roll his eyes at me for not ordering a cocktail.

Check in was great and they got us in early. The room was good space and well appointed, as was the bathroom. I do wish there were irons in the room. The $40 service fee is a bit much on an already high price for what it offers.
the pool area is nice but small. I was very disappointed in the bar at the pool. There is limited wine and the wine offered was HORRIBLE. The main bar had good wine so there is no reason that one could not get a good glass on the rooftop.
Overall it is nice, but for the price it does not beg me to go back.

Rooftop review for Terrace on 7:
Truth be told, I don't want to write this review. I don't want anyone else to know about this rooftop. No one else should hear about the lush foliage, sparkling pool, fluffy towels, and plethora of poolside seating that make for the PERFECT summer NYC outing.
Most of all, they shouldn't know that all of this is free and open to anyone, not just hotel guests. No snootiness, no hoop-jumping, no demanding your firstborn in exchange for a glimpse of the pool a la the snob factories in the Meatpacking District (Dream, Soho House, etc.)
Just lovely rooftop

I didn't stay here - but visited restaurant on M level and spa.
Used to be trump soho. It's under renovation it seems so there can be problems. In spa the AC barely worked or didn't work at all (mani pedi room had no ac). No ac imo is unacceptable. When I told staff about it and also how bad my treatment (horrible mani pedi) was no one offered to correct it while I was still there.
It's a little dark in lobby in my opinion.
Bathrooms in common areas missing extras like hand lotion. Empty vases.
It's this attention to detail that matters.
