He received his education in the schools of Berkeley and Charleston counties, graduating from Burke High School, Charleston, SC.
Funerals should be unique, and no two funerals are exactly alike. Each funeral should reflect the unique needs and desires of the survivors. A funeral should honor and celebrate the life that was lived. Sharing pictures, favorite music, mementos, etc. about the life of an individual should be emphasized at funerals to commemorate a life lived.
Staff members of Gethers Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Mattie is a graduate of Morris College and is a retired teacher.
Gethers Funeral Home Inc. has always strived to provide the most compassionate, caring and complete service to the bereaved families that we serve in Berkeley County and the surrounding area. In keeping pace with the technological age that we live in, we have partnered with Mr. Roger Gourdine of Infinite Video Productions and we now offer LIVE STREAMING of funerals for the families that we serve.
