This is a nice, small restaurant right on Canyon. The inside is modest but friendly and comfortable. Overall, I found the food to be high quality but a bit bland. We ordered the stuffed potatoes for an appetizer. I had the pork with rice and beans (the beans were the best part of the dish). My friend ordered the momofondo with pork, and it was much more flavorful. Staff was friendly and service was good. We were full but it looked like they had some nice pastries for dessert. I'm glad I went but not sure I will go again soon.

We come here many times throughout the year and are never disappointed. The food is always wholesome, hearty, flavorful, and made with love. My go to dish is arroz con pollo: the chicken is super moist, the plantains are amazing, and the dish is delicious (not to mention, very large and great as leftovers too!).

If you're struggling with your appetizer choice, go for the papas rellenas. They are a delightful combination of ground beef, mashed potatoes, and seasoning in a lightly salted, lighted crisped exterior.

It didn't look like much just passing down the street, but the food was SO GOOD! They had excellent options for my gluten free friend as well. Came back 2 weeks later with different people. And got to go orders a couple weeks after that. Every time the food is great! Customer service was also friendly and attentive without feeling pushy. Completely recommend.

Very authentic and tasty! We especially love papas rellenas, which was the stuffed potato with ground beef. That was very good! We also enjoyed our entree very much, which was Chuleta Kan Kan (Puerto Rico pork chop dish)! Crispy pork belly...tasty pork chop! That was so good! Our other appetizer was the Tostoned Rellenos (stuffed plantain fritters with shrimp). That wasn't so bad.
The restaurant itself is very clean, cute little place, and excellent customer service!!

First time trying Peruvian food and the service, food, and atmosphere made it!

A small space that is easy to make a reservation online via website or walk in. As we were seated and greeted immediately, we were served waters right away and refill waters on each table along with napkins and sauces.

The owner, gave great recommendations for us when we mentioned it was our first time and we settled on the appetizer sampler and pork mofongo. The sampler was a great starter and the mofongo was plenty! It is pretty deep so there is quite a bit of food. Pork was very tender and soft , you could tell

Great lunch spot near downtown Beaverton! Prices were fair. Parking is a little awkward though. We ordered the trifongo with pork and the steak off of the lunch menu.

Of the two entrees, the trifongo was the highlight of the meal as it's something I've never seen at other restaurants in the area. It truly felt like a unique dish. Also really enjoyed the different sauces that were on the table.

What a surprise find! So glad we stopped in! We started with two empanadillas, one was pollo the other, carne de res. Absolutely delicious! Some of the flakiest crust I've had anywhere. My photo does not do it justice as I had eaten it all the way down to the wedge! I couldn't help myself! Yum! What sent the flavor over the top was mixing their mayo ketchup house sauce with their house Criollo sauce and used that to dip them in....OMG! Then our server who just may have been an owner convinced us to try the Mofongo. We went with the con churrasco. Both hubby and I absolutely loved this

I've been to Boriken a few times for lunch during work, one time was with a friend from Puerto Rico, who said this place is authentic and legit. Today I came with my family for the first time on a weekend. The lady owner is super friendly as usual, joked around with the kids and introduced a few things with my wife, who is a first timer here. We shared a "quickie with passion" , the anise liquor within is a very unique flavor, definitely squeeze the lime into the drink for a more balanced taste. Kids really loved the yellow rice, we loved the pairing with the porkchop (kan kan),

We had our first Puerto Rican experience here! Got the Bistec Encebollado and the holiday dish. Definitely recommend the holiday dish since you get a bit of everything. The staff was super friendly and nice and taught us to mix everything and add the vinegar sauce they provide which was delicious!

Shredded tender pork in avocado, baked beans, yellow rice and a salad. The pork was so tender and juicy that you wish it had more, which you can choose to add more if you wish. The yellow rice has always been my favorite as it had a distinct flavor that goes well with spice too. Don't forget the cheese and guava jam tornillo for dessert, but they have a case that features more to choose from, so be careful because you might choose them all! So delicious and had me wanting seconds! They had such a nice menu, it was really hard to decide on what to have though... there's always next time

Muy rico! Highly recommend the pernil with the trifongo. The pork was so juicy and flavorful and the trifongo was a perfect blend and compliment to the pernil. The place was decorated well, the service was great, people were friendly, reminded me of Puerto Rico!

The food was over priced made spicy. Something I have never had with typical rice. The owners wife was rude, she did not care to serve the customer's.
Her husband was kind and entertaining, the young waitress was attentive. Over priced, spicy and rude over all experience 1 out of 10 I. Will not recommended.

Great lunch spot! Good prices. 4 outside tables with a screen to try to block the noisy street. Plenty of parking.

Love the chicken and yellow rice and the mofongo! Great sauces.

Gluten free options that are clearly marked on the menu. And Ome Cali is just across the street.

Amazing! The owners are extremely kind and were happy to help us decide our food choices. I got the fried breaded chicken plate and loved it. We also got a bunch of desserts, definitely recommend the guava and cream cheese pastry. The owner even gave us some pork to take home :)

Yummm. branched out from the comfort zone tonight.

i got the stuffed avocado with snow crab and he got the tenderized beef with onions marinated in a garlicky vinegar.

needless to say, he cleaned up his plate. these kind of platters are really big for me, so i packed mine home. i wish i had the capacity to devour it all, but more the reason to share!

service was really great and the server was really knowledgeable about which items to recommend us. we already have other items on the menu that we anticipate trying next time around!

nice place to come if you are looking to switch things up

Got to say this is one of the coolest restaurant I've been to in the Portland area. The indoor seatings are immaculately decorated so that it feels like your dining on the beach in Puerto Rico; amazing.

The people that work there are also SUPER friendly. Everybody greets you with a smile and was very helpful with ordering.

Unfamiliar with the cuisine, I wasn't sure what to expect but the Chicken Mofongo was delicious! The chicken in traditional Criolla sauce really hit the spot for me; the right amount of sweetness that reminds me of something I've had before. The chicken was also

We wanted something "new" vs the usual diverse fare in Beaverton and there's nothing equal to "something different" than cuisine from Puerto Rico smack dab in downtown Beaverton.

Right out the gate the Caribbean romance drink was delicious though I wished for more amaretto.

We decided on the deep fried pork, chicken stew and marinated steak. All were delicious but the chicken stew was the highlight. Soft, moist and deeply flavorful.

Second best was the deep-fried pork in all its glory. The challenge here is the loin portion ends up being a bit dry and the skin while

So I've been driving past Boriken for years and I finally stopped by today! The food was absolutely incredible! My mum and I shared the sampler platter and chicharonnes for our starter and both absolutely loved it! My personal favorite might've been the banana fritter. For our mains, I got the mini-mofongo with pork and WOW I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back real soon.

Never had Puerto Rican food before, so the owner of the restaurant - who also served as our waiter - very patiently explained all the menu items. He even offered to adapt the menu to accommodate our dietary needs!

For appetizers, we had the "Fried Codfish Fritters" and the "Shrimp Turnovers". I'd recommend both. The fritters have an interesting texture on the inside, but a not too greasy crunchy outside. I was surprised that the contents of the turnover were more like ceviche than a saucy, cooked shrimp stir fry, but it was still great. The pastry itself was very tasty
