I've stopped in enough for one of the bartenders to know my name. I first found this place looking for late night food. Excellent all hours menu with several vegetarian options (sandwich, pizza, Mac and cheese, all very good). Great drinks and daily specials.
Lots of TVs, TouchTunes, decent covered patio with a couple heaters. Bathrooms are clean. Clientele is varied enough that anyone can be comfortable.

Hit or miss, bartenders are always friendly to me, good is decent bar food. Back patio is dog friendly, partitioned, and decent sized. Usually the crowd there is friendly but I have had more than a few run-ins with very unsavory, non-regular patrons. It happens often enough that this is usually my second or third choice rather than my first.

Just don't order food from here. (Unless you wanna have the worst bacon ever.) The ingredients are average and the cooks are terrible. Last 4 times in a row I ate here my food was late. 3/4 it was also cold. When we requested fresh fries (as our side order of fries was old and cold) the same fries were brought out to us 30 seconds later after being dipped back in the oil, thus drying them out further.
1 Star for the recipes and another for how nice the bartenders are.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food and drinks. Food tastes fresh, drinks are made with skill.
They offer indoor seating or a fenced in outdoor. Outdoor offers smoking and non smoking areas.
Most importantly, the drinks are delicious. I always ask the bartender to surprise us and the drinks are smooth yet strong. Best bar I've found so far in the area.

I will say it again, Bar 3 is incredible. The people are incredibly friendly and the food is very good and of higher quality than you might expect. More than satisfactory draft selections. Sandwiches, salads, cheesy bread are great. Pizza and soups are less good. Patio is dog friendly!!!

This place most times is consistent and good. Issue is service. There is one long table up against the bar, when it is full of regulars, the bartender spends most of time hanging out in front of that table talking to them, ignores rest of bar. You want a drink forget it your going to sit there 15 minutes even on a slow day trying to get the ladies attention while she texts, flirts w the people at that table, or whatever she is doing over there, while the rest of the bar sits there waiting on service..... it's pretty annoying, I almost walked out and went elsewhere. This location used to be super sketchy but the new owners (who also own The Dugout and The Clubhouse) have turned this place into a great classy bar with a great selection of booze and really well cooked menu. Great spot for dinner and a cocktail or beer!

Bar 3 is a great place to have a drink and get a tasty bite to eat. The whole staff are personable, funny, and attentive - and they make quite yummy food for super reasonable prices! The crowd is also very cool and fun to be around. It's sometimes hard to find this kind of place, but Bar 3 brings it!

Cool looking bar. Great staff and environment, but please do not order the calamari or Cesar salad. Either the Cesar salad or calamari gave my girlfriend food poisoning. She was throwing up before we left the restaurant. Good beers, but certainly not worth 40 something bucks for food poisoning. Bring a tums if you order food

*before I start rambling, please see the bottom of my review for the NUMBER ONE reason I come back here again and again, this coming from a youngish woman*

Bar 3 was thrown into my bar rotation when my regular go to, Renners, burned down a couple years ago. While Renners is back and I still have so much love for them, there is a VERY GOOD REASON I did not abandon Bar3. It is no longer a "placeholder bar", but one of my favorite "home turf" bars. The staff are salt of the earth wonderful humans. If you go a handful of times they will remember you and probably remember your order

I grew up in Portland and live in SF now and every time I come to visit I stop by this bar because my sister lives down the street. The drinks are simple but good, I love their Bloody Mary! The food is normal bar food but it's always well prepared and fast. The environment is great because it's clean and I've never had a problem with a drunk person bothering me here. The price point is fair, I think this is the ideal hangout.

Honestly really like this place. We both got the steak sandwich though and it was pretty bad cuts of meat so it was really hard to eat with all the gristle and fat. Drinks were strong though and our bartender was very nice and attentive. I'll just definitely order something else next time.

Love this spot!
Just right around the corner from my house make this the perfect spot for to grab a drink!

The service was great.

The drinks were strong.

Great little neighborhood hang-out at the edge of Multnomah Village. It's not gonna blow you away, but it ain't gonna disappount either. The menu is short and focused, the bar serves nicely chilled beer, and there's even an outdoor patio for when it warms up a bit. They do trivia on Tue nights too. Give this place a try. You might find your new favorite hang-out.

This is our go to place for food and drinks. We've never been disappointed! My favorite menu items are the the grilled press sandwiches. Caprese sandwich or the NY steak sandwich with sweet potato fries can't be beat!

Love having a new bar on this side of Multnomah. Excellent food and terrific, personable service. Ashley has been particularly awesome. I also love the remodel they have done from the previous bar that was there. Glad this place is in my neighborhood!

Great place to hangout and get a bite to eat! Solid beer choices on tap and the cocktails are on point. Bar3 also has a great food menu you can't go wrong with any of the choices, my favorite so far is the NY steak sandwich.

I highly recommend Bar3 if you're in the neighborhood, super friendly staff and excellent food make this place stand out from the rest.

The broken cig is just the start to this multnomah village gem. Cheapest micros in southwest, tagged with a killer pastrami Sammie and a friendly smile from the staff it's a must see while in the Village!!!
