Best mexican food in the Beaverton/Portland area. the portions are generous so you really get a good bang for your buck.
the margaritas are incredible, you can taste the freshness. they use fresh squeezed lime juice and orange juice and that's what sets this margarita apart from a lot of others.
their homemade salsas have great flavor and are super mild so even if you can't handle any sort of heat, you can handle these.
the "mexican candies" were our absolute favorite!
it's a mix of sautéed onions, jalapeños, salt and lime! i could eat those by the spoonful!!

On the positive side, they had great beans and rice and huge potions for the price. However- The queso cheese dip tasted like velveta cheese and the vegetarian enchilada was bland and had a terrible texture. Probably will not be returning. I wanted so much to like this place!

Got delivery from here for the first time and ordered guac, veggie burrito, chicken fajitas ($20!), carnitas ($20!)and queso. I'm from NYC so overpriced food is no surprised but for a dish that is 40% lettuce rice and beans, $20 feels insanely overpriced. Our order Showed up with no guac, and not a single tortilla for either the fajitas or the carnitas so had to basically just shovel those dishes into our mouths rather than eat as intended. Everything arrived iced cold. Veggie burrito was supposed to have mushrooms and another vegetable in it but was 90% just rice and black beans. No salsa

I hate to drop a bad review, since I understand it was a bit hectic when I came in on account of the card payment system going down, but this was pretty rough - I ordered takeout at the counter and got our food pretty quickly after. We got home in 5 minutes after receiving our order and the food was almost ice cold. It was also incorrect - several items were incorrect in our mui grande combos. Kinda seems like we got the wrong order completely, but it was close enough that I can't tell. Pretty disappointed

Thought I would try one more time eating at Rauls heard lots of positive things. Surprise, Very disappointed. Ordered take out. 2 Asada Tacos and 1 Shredded Enchilada. What I got was 1 Asada and 1 ground beef Tacos with no cilantro or onion and different types of shells. The Enchilada had a very chemical taste to it. Couldn’t and wouldn’t go back due to the distance I drove. On the look out for great Mexican Food again.

I have enjoyed Raul's restaurant over the past 5 years as a 'pretty good' restaurant. However, today they without notice charged and passed onto me a %4 credit card fee. "No, I don't think so Tim." Not cool. It is not that exceptional that I cannot choose another Mexican food restaurant. Onward and upward. Moth.

This place is interesting. The food and service were good. The business shenanigans not so much! The 1st drink I ordered Raul's Margarita (no price on menu, annoying!) the 2nd, I say I'll have another and they bring me the "regular". Manager said it's the same (it's not). Not the same at all! We ordered 2 meals that call for tortillas, they bring out 6 for both meals. I asked for a few more and they charge me as a side. Then when I go to pay with credit card (like everyone does) they are sneaky and don't show you the original bill then charge you a 3% surcharge

My first time with takeout from Rauls. The food was great taste and portions nice.
I really understand tipping and do liberally. The bad part was I ordered Black Beans and no one verified the order and received refried; which my wife hates. Plus, the insult of a tip for the wrong order.

Raul's is such a great family owned business in the Raleigh Hills area! The food tastes great, the owners are awesome, and the portions are extremely generous. I highly recommend the fajita sampler. It comes with chicken, shrimp, steak, veggies, and tortillas. It also comes with rice, beans, pico, and sour cream. It filled up three of us!! The servings are big making it easy to split amongst a group. The skinny margarita and Paloma is delicious as well. It's a great place to gather with friends and share a meal/drink. Highly recommend!!

The food was okay not authentic flavors. The meat was undercooked for my kids we sent it back and they just re grilled that same meat! Flour tortillas were never brought out. We had to ask for water refills. Not the best customer service. I would go down the street to casa colima for authentic food!

Raul's is our "go-to" place for really tasty Mexican food. His menu has a great variety of choices-many that I've never seen at other restaurants. Every dish we had tried was excellent. We have been regulars there for years, and the food, service and value keeps us coming back.

We have had several social events that Raul has catered for us and it has always surpassed our expectations. The taco bar set-up is wonderful for casual events. He even supplied the serving dishes and warming pans at no extra cost. Super amazing.

Rauls! It's the hidden gem in the Fred Meyer Shopping center. Since relocating to PDX we have been on the hunt for our favorite Mexican restaurants & this place is definitely on the list! First of all their customer service is always 5/5! I can always expect the chips & bean dip to be fresh and warm. So far we've tried their express burritos , chicken mole, and another time the pollo asado. They also serve really great portions and have a special lunch menu during the week that's definitely a steal for the price. We also like their horchata and jamaica water. Definitely stop

This place got quite the buildup on Nextdoor, enough that we were ready to go well out of our way to give it a shot. While we've had a lot of disappointing Mexican dining experiences since we've been here, that's all the more reason to keep trying to find the best.
I think they've done a reasonable job adapting the front to the pandemic, at least as best anyone could manage without a complete remodel. Can't say I felt terribly welcomed up front, but we could blow that off; everyone's stressed. Fajitas and enchiladas, and must say, when we got them home we were not

This was an order through Uber eats but it ended up being not what I ordered, it was cold (not their fault) and when they said they would make me another one it never came. It's a covid era we are living in so I understand the complexities involved but I wish they would have at least called me back to let me know they were unable to send the correct order. I would have just eaten it anyway but I'm vegetarian and they sent meat so I ended up not having dinner. Gave it a 3 star review because Uber ended up refunding the meal.

I have been on the lookout for authentic Mexican food since I moved to Portland. And that's a hard thing to find because "authentic" is different to everyone. It really depends on the area of Mexico the family who runs the restaurant is from!
That being said, Raul's was authentic, sit-down Mexican. The second you sit down they bring out chips, salsa, and beans. The menu is pretty extensive. I stuck with a fajita burrito and boy was it tasty! The meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sour cream, guacamole, salsas, rice and beans were all on point.
