My five year old has been in Sensei Shawna's class for six months, and it's been amazing to watch his abilities transform -- both in the dojo and off it. I don't know how she does it, but she makes managing 4-7 year old martial arts look like a breeze, when we all know it's usually more like herding cats. She knows her craft, but just as importantly, she's perfected every nuance of teaching it to this age. So far I have been highly impressed with everything I have seen at the school, and I have seen many schools from the inside and have quite a bit of reference to go by. The school’s leadership care a great deal about its students as well as maintaining the rich history of their unique style of karate. If you are considering Karate for yourself or your children, you owe it to yourself to stop here and at least try a class and see how it fits.

My son has been taking classes here for almost two years and he loves it. Sensei Shawna is wonderful! There are lots of young and older kids just learning as well as more advanced belt ranks for them to learn from. It's a great extracurricular activity for building confidence, strength, and focus while having fun.
