I have had no previous experience in self defence before and have never been in a real fight for that matter. After a few months of training at WSKM I have gained a great deal of confidence and knowledge on how to protect myself ranging from throwing a simple punch to having an idea of what to do when or if I get ganged up on. I have been training there for a year now and plan on continuing my training for the future years to come

West Side Krav Maga is a great school that teaches real life self-defense techniques. In addition to high-level training, you will have a terrific workout and meet a number of like-minded people that are interested in learning how to protect themselves and their families. The instructors are very professional and helpful. The school is affiliated with the International Krav Maga Federation which works hard to keep its curriculum of self-defense techniques up-to-date and effective. It is easy to get addicted to Krav Maga; I know I have.

I had been a little hesitant to go to a self defense place at first, but within five minutes of walking in I felt extremely welcomed and encouraged. The lessons are exactly what I was looking for: a no-nonsense approach to self defense that is effective. The instructors have tons of experience and all the regulars make it their personal mission to see you improve as well. Their whole culture is solidly built upon the desire to enable all members of our community to defend themselves. If you're still on the fence, I would highly recommend attending one of the free seminars they do!
