Services
Registration with the dojo includes registration with World Karate Organization (Shinkyokushinkai). It is always best to try something a few times to see if you actually like it or not, especially before committing to something as life changing as starting a martial art such as Kyokushin. With that said, to become a full-fledged dojo member, we simply ask that you spend two full weeks training with us, that is it.
The most important element of Kyokushin karate is the BUDO SPIRIT, which encompasses elements of proper behavior, courtesy, the spirit of Osu, and good will towards man, in addition of course to fighting prowess. A style of stand-up, full contact karate, founded in 1964 by Korean-Japanese Masutatsu Oyama.
It will definitely challenge you physically and mentally. Let's be honest though, would you want it any other way? Do you really want to spend your precious time and hard-earned money practicing something easy? Or, would you prefer to study something that could literally change your being? No, we are not a "school" per se.
Below you will find a list of vendors and service providers that we have worked with, and had such a good experience that we believe everyone should be using them. So, please use them and use them often! If there is anyone that knows how to run a business right its Andy Chuang of Good Characters. The research that they put into making sure your characters are correct is amazing.

Sense Bernard is amazing. I enrolled my then 5 year old because Karate is an excellent form of discipline and develops amazing character. My son is thriving under Sensei's tutelage. The rates are reasonable and my son always looks forward to every class. I highly recommend this school for any age group or background. You won't be disappointed!

If your looking to learn martial arts, get in shape, improve your flexibility and gain some self defense skills and confidence, this is absolutely the dojo for you. Sensei Bernard teaches discipline and proper technique and emboldens the values that make up kyokushin karate. Sensei is also fantastic with kids. He keeps the kid session much lighter and enjoyable but still making sure the kids learn the proper technique and try their best. There are many karate dojos in Colorado Springs but none as worthwhile as KKC.

I am so glad that we switched from Community Karate and Fitness. Sensei Bernard's focus is on the karate and making sure the students do the techniques properly and try their best. This is a harder style of karate but Sensei Bernard makes it disciplined and enjoyable for kids. I would recommend anyone who is interested in doing karate for themselves or for their kids to give Kyokushin Karate Colorado a try!
