Our clinicians not only provide therapeutic interventions, they utilize the strengths and knowledge brought to each case by involving Parents, Family Members, Medical Professionals, School Personnel, and Community Resources. We pride ourselves in the ability to match each patient with a therapist who can best help them with their unique needs and situation.
Working closely with Essex County Court System, our clinical staff provides services in accordance with court mandates for the Diversion Program. We will provide an Initial Intake session that is designed to identify the specific area(s) that need to be addressed with the Child/Adolescent. A Treatment Plan will be devised based on individual need and court mandates.
NSCC offers a Medication Clinic for new and current patients of our Outpatient Programs. You and your clinician may discuss the potential benefits of medication and if you would like, your clinician will make a referral to our Medication Clinic for an evaluation. Please be aware that in order to continue in our Medication Clinic, you may be required to be in active therapy with one of our clinicians and must been seen at least once per month.

Unfortunately, I have dealt with mental illnesses from an early age. This facility in particular is the worst I have ever been to. There was a 2 week wait period to see anybody, my therapist had no experience was right out of college.
The prescribers are extremely unprofessional and honestly bordering hazardous. All they care about is themselves, and taking you off any medication that is controlled, so they can prescribe 5 others to take its place.
Ended up hospitalized and lost my job because they thought I was on the wrong meds even though I explained it’s working for me. Now I’m stable

Doctors refused to see me due to mental health issues and decided I need better care. Pretty sure that’s exactly what their job is supposed to be, helping those with mental health issues, but I guess not. If you want to see them, make sure you only have depression and anxiety (but not major) anything else is too scary.

My problems happened a year ago today. Took me all this time to leave the review.
I had been going here since April 4th 2016 trying to get medication for my anxiety and panic attack disorder. It's mandatory you have to see a talk therapist 3 times before you see the medication doctor. I jumped their hoops. I went over 8 times since April 4th. After my 3rd visit they told me that the medication doctor was full and was not accepting new patients until July but I would have to keep seeing the therapist until that time. They told me a YEAR AGO today the medication doctor is not allowing me into the

This was the first time meeting a person and their schedule was all booked up and I'm not happy at this so I think not a chance it will not work out due to my schedule and that person's too.
I'm not available certain times or days so I'm done for this I give this a one!
