Family and relationships are the most important things in our lives, but they can also be the place where we find most hurt and need the most healing. We specialize in working with individuals, families, and children by helping people communicate better through understanding and engagement. I have never felt such an ease with opening up to someone as kind and caring as Jess.
She approaches every conversation with gentleness, and she carefully considers each detail of the situation to provide her perspective. Jess has really helped me with a lot, and I am a more confident and thoughtful person because of her. We have had 7 couples therapy sessions so far with Jessica Pechinis.

When a family has trouble getting along, it's often in the context of how one's relationship is defined within the family unit. For example, if a son is seen as "the troublemaker, " he may come to believe it's his duty to rebel because of the way he's perceived. Families are in constant flux and are always transforming, yet members sometimes get discouraged when they feel stuck in a monotony of a recurrent role.
Whether you're new to therapy or simply new to my practice, we want to acknowledge where you're coming from. Starting a new therapeutic relationship is often challenging. It may be helpful to know that for most clients, initial concerns about the fit and the process of therapy fade away by the second or third visit.
The Seven Principles Workshop for Couples is based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book- The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This educational workshop is designed to help couples improve their friendship and conflict management skills.
