Early in life, a sense of genuine curiosity and a desire to understand the feelings, attitudes and motivations of others led me to the study of psychoanalysis. I believe that our nature and experiences form beliefs and responses in our present life, and an understanding of these two factors can help us to develop deeper relationships, become more aware of our true desires, and to gain a stronger sense of life satisfaction.

My intensive training experience has provided me with a unique ability to support my patients through deep self exploration and growth. My primary approach to treatment is to encourage patients to talk openly and freely, without censorship, about their ideas and feelings. Through open discussion and free association, new ideas and questions form which allow for the ability to look at things through new eyes, and to have a different perspective.
Services
Individual sessions allow for an opportunity to work intensively on the various issues that bring them to treatment. Sessions typically take place two to eight times a month, depending on the needs of the client. This is typically the best treatment when working with depression, anxiety, fear and emotional distress.
Through my experience of building a practice, I came upon a position as a school counselor in order to support my growth. Through this placement, I had the opportunity to work with children and their families, and to develop a special understanding of children's and family issues. Working with children takes a special touch!
This is an ongoing group meeting where all aspects of the life of a parent are open for discussion: children, partners, finances, career, sexuality, aging parents, mental health issues, physical and spiritual health, and culture, to name a few. Members come together every other week to talk, commiserate, explore and support one another in their experiences.
