This talk may not be easy for some but we encourage everyone to have a talk of a lifetime! Davidson Funeral Home has been honoured to serve Port Colborne and its surrounding communities for all end of life care, including both burial and cremation, for 70 years. Our staff are active members of our community, most working with us over 20 years.
Their diverse talents, abilities, dedication and attention to detail is second to none, and they are one of the many aspects we have that will distinguish our funeral home from others. Our facilities are fully accessible and beautifully designed with a large chapel accommodating up to 200 people, a foyer that brings a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and two visitation rooms which can also double as overflow for large services.

Mark has spent most of his life as a resident of Port Colborne. After apprenticing with the Washington and Johnston Funeral Home in Toronto, he graduated from Humber College, and received his Funeral Directors License in 1981. He worked with Davidson Funeral Homes since then, until purchasing the business from his step-father, Allan Davidson in 1989.
Homes have been serving families since 1951. Allan R. Davidson came to Port Colborne from Sarnia in 1949 and worked for the Dell-Merton Funeral Home which he purchased in 1951. The Dell-Merton Funeral Home had been serving Port Colborne and area families since 1927. He moved the business from its original site (located where Breakwall Brewing is today) to the present location on the corner of Clarence and Elm Streets.
Being with loved ones at their most difficult time is essential. Unfortunately, certain circumstances do not allow them to be there. At Davidson Funeral Home we have a simple solution to allow all family members and friends to be part of the funeral service LIVE via the internet. This LIVE streaming video runs in real time, at up to 30 frames per second, as if you were watching T.V. and offers mp3 quality audio.
The staff and their families at our funeral home take great pride in being active members of our community, from involvement with service clubs and organizations, to supporting philanthropic initiatives that benefit the City of Port Colborne. We are also committed to sharing information and providing education about the death care industry through various speaking engagements.
