We understand that pets are part of the family, and our Pet Policy is pooch and cat-friendly for our residents. At the Westerly Apartments making friends is easy, and in our community there is always, something going on that's fun, entertaining or educational. Barton Senior Center is a non-profit senior activity center for people age 55 and over located on the grounds of the Westerly Apartments.
Services
Members come to Barton Senior Center from all over the Greater Cleveland area to meet new friends, enjoy socials, luncheons, parties, special events, and take advantage of the classes, programs, or visit our gift and resale shops. Programs include something for everyone: movies, bingo, social luncheons and dinners, card parties, computers, health services, musicals, socials, classes, workshops, special events, golf, exercise and book reviews.
We have been a leader in the senior housing industry since 1963. Partnering an apartment building with the on-site Barton Community Center made the Westerly the first of its kind in the United States. The Westerly Apartments are owned by Lakewood Senior Citizens, Inc., a 501c (3) not-for-profit organization that exists for the sole purpose of providing quality and affordable housing for senior adults.
The Westerly Apartments are located on Detroit Avenue in the heart of Downtown Lakewood. We offer affordable living for older adults (Age 62 and up) on an Active Senior Campus. To get the full picture of all our campus has to offer, we invite you to take a tour of our building and amenities to see for yourself all the benefits that await you at the Westerly.
Amenities: Westerly I has 7 residential floors with each floor offering a pleasant sitting area with sliding glass doors that lead to a balcony. This building has one, two bedroom, and efficiency apartments, and laundry rooms are located on each floor. Additionally, each apartment unit has an assigned storage locker located on the ground floor to store other personal effects or seasonal items.
