My office is at Lakewood Center North, and the folks who run and manage the building have been amazing so far. In the interest of full disclosure, my office has only been open for a few weeks; however, I worked with the management for several months in advance to prepare for the opening of my business. The building management staff have been extremely friendly and easy to get in touch with, the rates for leasing of space are reasonable, and the building location in the center of downtown Lakewood is very accessible. The apartments are nice. Everything else has been short of a disaster. For what it costs to live here, it’s not worth it by any stretch. I can write a book about the issues here and it probably needs to go no further than the elevators. If one happens to work that day and you get on, there’s no telling if it will open back up. It’s been that way for 2 years. You also don’t control the temperature in your apartment. It comes with a thermostat, but it doesn’t do anything. The AC broke and it took 3 days to fix. Management did not communicate the issue with anyone.
