We were created by the community because they saw the need for a central, neutral organization that could bring people together around electronic data exchange. The New CMS Condition of Participation Requires Hospitals to Share E-Notifications, and the CHIE can help. UHIN and Western Colorado's Quality Health Network (QHN) are pleased to announce a more tightly linked connection between our health information exchanges. UHIN joins three health care organizations in a partnership focused on helping health information exchanges (HIEs) and their communities, payers and providers improve health outcomes.
The Clinical Health Information Exchange (CHIE) is the state-designated HIE for all of Utah. We also exchange data with surrounding areas and on a national scale. With a suite of products and services to improve the management of your own patient data, as well as access to data collected from outside of your system, the CHIE is making interoperability possible.
CHIE Alerts meets the requirements for The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) electronic patient event notifications rules. CMS has recently focused on new interoperability and patient access rules to improve the quality and accessibility of information needed to make informed health care decisions across the industry.
We work with teams across the nation and our expert support teams are all located in the U.S. Exchange claim and payment information quickly, securely, and with a best in class support team. Reduce Pre-Authorization turnaround time with a fully functional Pre-Auth and embeddable portal. Optimize your EDI enrollment; we field the provider requests and deliver the information you need.
As the state-designated HIE for all of Utah, the Clinical Health Information Exchange (CHIE) allows you to exchange patient data within the state and surrounding areas.
