Plus, let's face it. Health clubs can be intimidating. Every health club has a group of hard-core gym rats, both guys and girls, who've been pumping iron there for years. They're in great shape and you're just starting out. Finally, if you go to the gym during peak hours, you'll likely have to wait to use some of the machines or weights.
My trainer, Cari, has partnered with me each step of the way. We first worked on corrective exercises to relieve the chronic pain in my elbow. Then we focused on revving up my metabolism with a mixture of interval and strength training. She even started jogging with me to help me get more active. What more can I say.
Unlike a large aerobics or cardio class, your sessions at MusclesForMe are focused entirely on you. You and your trainer will start with a brief warm-up. It could be a light jog, jumping jacks, or some yoga poses. Your warm-up is followed by a unique and customized workout program for that day, based on your goals, limitations, and mood.
A unique program for men only that includes super-slow movements for super-quick results in only 40 mins per week! Get your warrior on with this incredible time/cost efficient method. This is not for the meek-minded. You will push yourself harder in this 40-min session than you ever have with traditional strength-training protocols.
We have a few options for those who prefer to workout in a class setting. A outdoor fitness bootcamp class each Saturday at 7:30 am, studio circuit classes at 6:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Come join us for one hour each Saturday morning at 7:30 am for a fun fitness class in the park! Our group classes are fun and focused on interval/circuit training for a variety of fitness levels.

I have never written a yelp review, but I think Muscles for Me deserves my time to do this. I started strength training with Cari at Muscles for Me late June 2021. I am a senior citizen with tennis elbow in both arms, back, knee and foot issues, etc. I needed lots of consideration for injuries.
I had not been able to go to the gym during Covid. I had managed to lose some weight but unfortunately, I felt I suddenly lost all my collagen and muscle tone so everything was sagging. At my age, I wasn't sure I could even do the work or make a difference but I had to try. I certainly didn&apos

I have been working out with Cari and Muscles for Me for a few years now, twice during the week at early-morning circuit classes, which are very convenient, and Saturdays at Torrance Park. What works best for me is variety, and Cari delivers! Every class consists of a different routine or workout, with music that pumps you up and encourages enthusiasm from all participants. Cari is always 100-percent in the moment with you when you're exercising, and her sense of humor keeps us laughing! I also very much enjoy the soups Cari prepares through Caring Cuisine. I have been working out with Cari on a one-on-one basis at her private studio in Torrance for awhile now The workouts are challenging but never more than what I am physically capable of achieving. Cari knows my limits and knows how to push me to be stronger. Her confidence inspires me to push myself. Cari's eye and knowledge of proper form helps to prevent injuries and to keep me moving forward. She has helped me understand that proper form and pace will help me achieve the results I want. I can not say enough about Cari and Muscles For Me!. I have been training with Cari for over a year and I'm basically addicted to her workouts. I have private training sessions that Cari tailors to me - changing it up every time. Cari has been focused on helping me reaching new goals, all the while being making sure I have excellent form. Cari is a talented trainer who I highly recommend. In addition, I have lost over 12 pounds in the last years with limited changes to my diet!

Cari has been my trainer for more than twelve years. There are just too many reasons to list for why I have driven to her gym weekly from the San Fernando Valley (for all that time). Simply put, she is worth it.
(One important note: Her post-exercise massage is the small present I give myself each week after I give everything I've got in the gym. I'm sure that's also been good motivation for both the commute and the hard work.)

Private studio training..not a crazy loud smelly gym. Cari is a great trainer. She keeps you motivated and challenged. I started training with Cari a couple of years ago with my sister.
She offers one on one training, but has several options with buddy training with a partner and several small (8-10) person group classes. One of my favorite classes is the boot camp in the park on Saturday mornings.
Cari is very attentive in the group classes, always making sure everyone's form is correct to prevent injury and make sure you are getting the most out of your workout.

I have been working out for three years with Cari. I have a degenerative nerve disease and Cari has learned to work with me at each stage of my physical disability. She caters to my needs and gives me the workout I need. She adapts to my limitations and yet pushes me just enough to keep me limber. She is patient and encouraging and I like the one-on-one approach. Her place is comfortable to work out at and she has every type of equipment needed.

I like Fast Food a bit too much and as I get older it's not as easy to keep the weight off. I did all the usual things - I bought a home gym but never used it, so I joined a gym. I even actually went a few times but there just wasn't any focus. Not anyone's fault but mine.
About 6 months ago I saw the Muscles For Me web site (while looking for burger recipes of all things) and I got a free initial appointment. The thing that sold it for me is that it's private. Just me and the trainer in the whole building and all we're focusing on is me. And there is structure

When I first inquired about a trainer I asked if they could work with someone who was 320 lbs and 140 lbs overweight. I wanted a trainer who felt as though they could help me. I have been more than pleased with the guidance I have been given. Not only do I get the crap kicked out of me twice a week but I have received healthy eating guidelines and plenty of support with the emotional part of losing weight.
I feel so lucky to have found Cari. She makes me feel like the most important person in the world when I am working out. I know I am paying her but I feel like she cares about me and my success
