Friendly office staff. The room was filthy though. Dirty masks behind the night stands, 2 strange computer chairs randomly placed in the room. Left belongings from other guests in the drawers. If I plugged my blower dryer in it was very weak and all the other lights in the room would go out. The fridge leaked water everywhere. The floors were not mopped they felt sandy upon checking in. The bedding had a blood stain on the sheet and it was just a mattress with a sheet tossed on it. Honestly was afraid to even lift up the mattress to check for bugs. I rarely give hotels or motels 5 star ratings. Rarely do they deserve it. A 4 star rating to me is a great rating ! I gave 3 stars because although it is a good place to stay, and at a location that is convenient for me, there is room for improvement. The room could be cleaner, some paint on the walls would help, and microwave and fridge could be cleaner. The light fixture in the shower was hanging out of the ceiling by its wires. Potential safety hazard for sure if it got wet !

This place is really horrible! PLEASE do NOT book your stay here! I booked my stay on bookings.com for 3 nights. When i got to the room......the smoke detector kept beeping (like it was a low battery), the bed was not completely made, the shower was filthy, the water kept dripping AND there were BUGS. Not sure what kind of bugs, but i know i got bite a few times (in the hour i was in the room!!). I went to the desk and told the guy about all my issues and he offered to give me bug spray!! Thats it! How disgusting and unprofessional is that?? I collected my stuff, cancelled my reservation and went

Room didn’t look at all like it was cleaned before we came in, sheets had stains and dirt particles all over. We brought our own bedding which helped. But quickly learned that there were roaches in the room and an ant infestation. Found one roach crawling on the wall over my pillow. Found 3 more within a day. There were cobwebs hanging off the walls, and stains on the walls that could be easily wiped off. Bathtub wouldn’t drain, toilet was difficult to fully flush.

Never again!! This place is a total dump. From the musty moldy smell when you walk in to the shower with no shower head in your bathroom to the moldy lamps with bulbs that hang off the side. you will not enjoy your night there. This is the kind of place people in movies run to when they are hiding from the cops. Dont go budget on this one shell out the extra cash and get you a nice hotel

I don't know what kind they are but their mattresses are the SOFTEST I have ever slept on. Staff are very nice and the pool is relaxing. Wish it was deeper than 4ft but regardless it's great to relax in! My one critique is our bathroom door is busted in at the bottom lmaoo and there's nothing to plug the tub up for a bath also it's far away from the boardwalk. Still 5 stars because their mattresses were heavenly.

So location of the place was great! Close to basically everything we wanted. Friendly staff as well. Parking was provided free during the stay. The pool was nice too. The main problem with the place lies with it's cleanliness, where the rooms definitely needed to be cleaned. Especially the bed sheets were questionable, so I advise caution in using them at all. The rooms seemed pretty dated too and pretty small. The shower curtain only covered half the shower! So water would get almost everywhere. Also at one point during our stay someone else opened the door to our room somehow! So that was uncomfortable

Ants in the bathroom. Bathroom is not up to date. Room service didn't come in and get us new and clean towels. We had to get wash cloths from Walmart because they didn't have any. Very little parking. Pool was nice but it only goes to 4 feet deep. No one was in the office at 8 in the morning. Rooms were decent sized. Great location. Not a great stay.

If you're looking for a nice place for a family trip or a nice getaway with your spouse this is not the place. If you're young and just need a place to take a quick shower and crash after having a good time then this is for you. Lots of young wild ones stay at this place. Definitely some drugs happening here as well. Beds are small, rooms smell like straight weed, and no, leaving the door open will not help cut down the smell. No fitted sheets, just a sheet thrown on top of the mattresses. Tv was in a odd spot and hard to see. No alarm clocks or side table lamps. Just basic as it can get, straight

After all the reviews I've seen, about how crappy this place is, we just got here and so far so good, great desk help and the room isn't really bad, come on people. See something, say something respectfully the sheets do have stains, they're old, but clean, it's an older facility, they seem to be trying to improve. The only suggestion I have for the owners is update the little stuff, and as small as some of the complaints are, try to address some of the ignorant ones. If something changes over night I will update my review.

I know you get what you pay for but I was fooled by the newer photos that were posted by the hotel. I booked using booking.com and I truly thought that the rooms were ALL updated. They are not and I am trying to make the best of it because there are no rooms available at any other location. I will never come back here nor will I recommend this place to anyone else. If dirty, old and down right disgusting are your thing then this is the place for you. If it's not, keep on looking. This is not the place for you.

Do not stay in this hotel. Period. I booked three nights and was charged for it even though I cancelled the reservation in person. The "General Manager" refused to give me her name, would not put me in touch with anyone higher up and simply took my money. The Islander Motel should be condemned, the rooms are terrible and the service is even worse. Do yourself a favor and don't let these people steal your money.

Don't stay here. Hostel hotels are much better then this place. I don't want to even take my sneakers off. It smells. I'm afraid of bug beds. Don't believe the reviews. I'm telling you don't believe the reviews . I rather pay additional 100 dollars a nite at a holiday day inn express and then stay here. But we are stuck because we are here right now and it's disgusting. Never again. I don't know how the people give a nice review with this place. They probably can't see, smell not hear the crap around this hotel. Wow. Please don't waste your money
