My boyfriend and I lived at Bavarian for three years in a two bed one bath unit (renovated). I absolutely loved the layout and our apartment was in great condition. We had pretty quiet neighbors and never had any issues with noise or partying. Never had to speak with the office staff very much, but Sonia and Yvonne are super helpful and responsive with any issues. The Maintenence staff is AMAZING, super friendly guys and always showed up within an hour or two of us putting in any service requests, often even faster. Literally the only complaint I have is that the parking spaces are a bit small

I lived here for two years & enjoyed it, left with only small complaints. The location is amazing & close to so many bus stops + Walmart. I just wish they had actually assigned parking spaces for people that live here, but there is a lot of visitor parking! In the winter, the parking lot never gets scraped, which was really difficult when trying to get to the bus stop in the mornings. Also, the walls were super thin & my neighbors were heavy smokers, so it was hard to keep the smell out— not really management’s fault.

Lived here for nearly four years and hardly ever had issues here. Most of the issues I had with the apartment complex was in the last year.
The neighbors I had were occasionally loud, but they didn't violate the noise ordinance. Neighborhood is friendly and isn't a problem on most nights. The only nights I had issues were people revving their motors at late night hours (sometimes waking me up) or people having late night parties. The bus stop gave an additional perk to the place, making it easier to transport to and from Appalachian State.

My daughter lives here. She likes the staff but she lives next door to someone who must chain smoke 24/7. I just came to spend a few days with her. When I walked in, the smell of smoke was so strong it was hard to believe that nobody was smoking in her apartment. Her living room was actually hazy at times during my stay. We all stink of smoke. It seems crazy that even though the dangers of second hand smoke are well known, that an apartment complex wouldn't have a non-smoking policy. I've lived here over three years and absolutely love it! It's a pretty quiet community with a great office staff. Any time I call for maintenance they're usually there within an hour to help. The apartments are nice and the neighborhood is in a great location. Yes, there are some things that could be improved, such as the mailing process and the air condition, but overall it's a great place to live.
Update. This is still a great place to live, however the mailing is complete garbage. For someone who sends a receives a lot of packages, like myself, this place will be a nightmare. No matter what

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Management is incompetent and unnecessarily overbearing. Threats of lease termination are normal. They tow their own residents. Appliances are old and barely functional. Their idea of "turning a unit" is to slap a coat of paint on everything. Windows and doors have drafts. On top of that, maintenance decided they were going to smoke a cigarette while changing my air filter.
There are cheaper places to live. Don't live here!

I have lived in 4 other apts/houses in Boone & Bavarian is hands-down the best. It's nice, clean, quiet & the staff, both maintenance and management are always on top of things and they actually care about their tenants. They are awesome and we are very thankful to have found such a great community.

Unlike other reviewers, my SO and I had wonderful experiences renting at BV.
Most maintenance requests were filled in a timely manner, the complex is fairly quiet, filled with long term residents, and really safe. Parking was always plentiful, the landscaping is kept up well, and the women in the management office were always warm, welcoming, and nice.
Some improvements could be:
Regular maintenance and upkeep of laundry machines.
Updating old, run down units. Fixing old pipe work.
Adding more recycling bins.
Most maintenance requests were filled in a timely manner, the complex is fairly quiet, filled with long term residents, and really safe. Parking was always plentiful, the landscaping is kept up well, and the women in the management office were always warm, welcoming, and nice.

The office staff is professional and even addresses me by name when they see me. Maintenance requests are addressed efficiently, usually within 24 hours. The maintenance staff always takes time to explain the issue in a friendly easy to understand way. I've enjoyed living here at Bavarian Village since January 2016.
