My son lost his part-time job at the Movie Theater due to COVID-19 while going to App State and paid over 1/2 of April rent and informed Kuester. They replied "no late fees in April" and was understanding. However now they have applied a late fee and given him an eviction notice (10 day) - thought this was illegal. He was hoping to catch up with unemployment and stimulus money. Really sad.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
My experience with Kuester Properites, Amelia in particular and everyone in the Boone office has been excellent. Amelia and the staff there have always gone above and beyond for any needs my daughter may have while living there. It has been nothing but a positive experience. Thank you to Amelia and everyone in the Boone location!

We have been working with Amelia to find a housing solution for my daughter this fall at App State. We did not realize the housing crunch was so hard in Boone. But Amelia's creativity, thoughtfulness and quick action found an opportunity for us. This was outstanding customer service for someone who just walked in the door and was not even yet a customer. Excellent customer service is a rare commodity these days. I look forward to having my daughter move in soon. Thanks!

Kuester
I moved up to Boone as a transfer student at App State for the spring semester. I was desperately looking for housing, and stumbled upon Kuester's complex, Turtle Creek West. After only one semester under their management I've signed onto a different complex. Taking the chance against Kuester's horrible reviews on here most definitely did not pay off. Upon moving in, I was told that the apartment had been checked for any maintenance issues and would be addressed immediately. Weeks into living there and no one had come to fix any of the issues, including a broken microwave

Lived here fenor 3 years and it definitely could have been better.
Pros
-inclusive rent (besides power)
-appalcart access just across street
-large apartment
-extremely nice staff
Cons
-parking for visitors very limited
Specifically, my issues with parking were that people could get away with parking over the line so it was hard to get into the spot without damaging the other persons car. I think someway to resolve this issue is to start fining people who park over the line. Also, it seems like every year they would change the visitors parking which was a little frustrating.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Management charged me and my other roommate for carpet that should have been replaced before moving in, so we both got almost none of our security deposit back.
Also, even though I was told that since I wasn't the last person to move out, that I would not be charged for little things like trash and things left in the fridge, but that was a lie because all three of us got charged for trash even though only one of the roommates left trash in the apartment.
If you want a good experience in Boone or at App State, DO NOT LIVE HERE!
Everywhere else is expensive

I'm happy with the apartment but I live right next to the fire alarm box for the building and it gets tripped every so often causing it to beep every 30 seconds. Unfortunately Keuster is very slow to turn this off and it can go on for days. Not a problem for most of the apartments but I'd say there are 5-6 of them that are effected by this so watch out!

Really wish i had seen these reviews before i signed my lease. Thank god its over. Lived at highland crossing. Where do I start? Never parking, non-existent water pressure in bathroom sink, appalcart stop is down the huge hill so walking back up it is absolutely ridiculous, only got 1 key on move in day (supposed to get 4) one of which is to get in the clubhouse which makes our rent higher, never got it, tub plug was broken, apartment was filthy, have to email manager a good 10 times to get a response, wooden stairs which just looks weird, workers never have any info to answer your questions, not
