At Francis Asbury Preschool and Kindergarten, we help children become well-rounded individuals by teaching them social and cognitive skills, alongside lifelong morals and values. We also promote a positive self-image. Located in the North End of Virginia Beach, near Shore Drive and Little Creek base, our early childhood program is a mission of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.
Preschool, and so do I! It is such a great school that I've sent two of my children there and wish I had known about it when my first child was in pre-k. My son, Caleb, was so well prepared for kindergarten that his adjustment into elementary school was a breeze. He was reading and writing with confidence well before the end of his Pre-K year and the school was well-equipped to keep him challenged in his education.

Services
The lessons will be taught at an age-appropriate level so that the concepts are understood. In addition to the weekly units, the teachers will also discuss with the children our monthly religious concepts. Examples of these concepts are the following: Loving thy neighbor, God has created our world, Give Us Thanks.
At Francis Asbury Preschool and Kindergarten, it is our belief that each child is a unique individual created by God. We have created an environment that encourages children to explore the world around them. We do so by exposing children to the process of learning through play. We see every experience as a learning opportunity in which a new skill can be taught.
Ms. Anna received her Master's in Early Childhood Education from Old Dominion University. While at ODU she studied under Dr. Katherine Kersey and worked at the ODU Child Development and Study Centers. In addition, she has 10+ years of teaching experience in the early childhood field. Ms. Anna has worked in administrative education since 2008.
Francis Asbury Preschool is a non-profit organization and all tuition received goes directly to the expenses of the preschool. All tuition is paid on the 15th of the month preceding care unless specified differently by contract. Please review the monthly tuition rates below. If a family qualifies for numerous discounts they will only receive one discount per school year.
At this time Francis Asbury Preschool is fully staffed. However, we are always looking to add amazing people to our substitute list.
