Just for Kids was established in 2007 and is privately owned with the intent and purpose to provide a warm, loving, stimulating environment, while assuring that the environment encourages confidence, independence, and security for each child, as well as respect and concern for others.

At Just for Kids, we strive to maintain the highest quality staff-a staff that is constantly growing and improving. Our teachers will inspire your child each day with activities that are age- appropriate and that will spark their imaginations. Each teacher will celebrate with your child their accomplishments and successes.
We teach our children using the highly rated Creative Curriculum. This research-based curriculum supports the development of the whole child. It balances both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning, with an emphasis on responding to children's learning styles and building on their strengths and interests.

I’ve worked there for three years and I gotta say with the bad days there’s also good day to hide the bad days and it’s professional the director and the owner are on top of everything making sure your doing everything your suppose to do. I would say it’s a good place to work to have your kids great Atmosphere

We were sad to leave this daycare due to being stationed elsewhere. They treated our son as if he were family. My son has ADHD, the staff here was amazing with him. Some of the teachers taught him coping skills when he would get overwhelmed. They also gave him responsibilities which he loved. He went to this daycare for a little less then 4 years and if we get stationed back in VA Beach I pray they have availability!

I was working there for a year. I started off as an infant teacher, once we came back from the Pandemic I was promoted to assistant director. I ended up being the assistant director, the cook, the substitute, and a floater. I was only getting paid $10. The only perks about working there was getting free lunch, the coworkers that I was working with at the time, some of the kids, and being able to wear what you want. The director constantly played favorites, it was so hard to get a day off, the director would make you feel guilty about them being understaffed, and kids were allowed to do whatever

After reading the reviews and speaking with the owner I was so excited to schedule a tour... that was until I read all of the violations this place has... including mishandling of children by staff and even having to receive medical attention.. please do your research more then just reviews... Virginia department of social services website will list all the facilities violations...out of 18 inspections they only passed 4 :(

I'm very skeptical about who watches my child especially because this was her first time attending daycare. I decided to go with just for kids because it was very close to my job and I wanted to be able to stop in unannounced periodically. it makes me feel very comfortable that everyday I get a detailed report telling me how my daughters day went. All of the staff is very friendly. I think they could tell I was nervous about leaving my daughter so her teacher actually sent me pictures while I was at work of her threw out the day. I will not be going anywhere and feel very blessed I have found them

My children have attended this daycare for the past 4 years. The staff is very friendly and very concerned with the children's care and education. My son graduated from their pre-k program a couple years ago, and he was more than prepared to go to kingergarten. I have a toddler daughter who's mood vary and goes from sweet as pie, to screaming, tantrum throwing wild child, and through all of her emotions, they handle her with care and ease. I would recommend this daycare to any of my friends and family, because at JFK, they have exceeded my expectations and make my children feel like their own family
