First Presbyterian Pre School
First Presbyterian Preschool is a special place where children interact with their physical and social environment in order to understand the world and to find their place in it. Welcome to First Presbyterian Preschool, a warm and nurturing learning environment nestled in the heart of midtown Atlanta.

Founded in 1946, our preschool is the oldest, continuously operating preschool in Georgia. Our young students explore their interests and express their ideas through projects and play-an approach that supports our Reggio Emilia-inspired and project-based curriculum. Our teachers and staff are committed to developing enthusiasm for learning and knowledge.
Services
We strive to provide a high quality academic education within a Christian environment of love, support, and acceptance. We pursue a learning community that nurtures creativity and critical thinking and in which children develop skills that prepare them for their next academic steps. Each child at First Presbyterian Preschool is celebrated as a unique creation of God.
First Presbyterian Preschool began collaborating with the Adaptive Learning Center (ALC) in 2006 to provide an Inclusive Preschool Program. Through this collaboration, the Preschool serves children with disabilities and special needs in our classrooms. With support from special education facilitators provided by the ALC, children participate fully in our school activities.
First Presbyterian Preschool teachers bring outstanding qualifications and talents to our classrooms. Our teachers are all degreed, with over half holding Bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Early Childhood Special Education or Early Childhood Development. They eagerly incorporate early childhood research and ideas into their curriculum planning and daily practice.
Our midtown location allows us access to many fabulous programs offered by our neighbors. We have partnerships with the High Museum, Alliance Theatre, MODA, and the Atlanta Public Library, to name just a few. All pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students visit the public library each week. Our fine arts partners offer programs at our school campus and also provide programming for our students at their facilities as well.
The learning approach at First Presbyterian Preschool is predicated on the belief that children are curious, creative, and capable. Our program philosophy is implemented through project-focused, emergent, play-based curriculum. STEAM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) are infused in all areas of our curriculum.

Absolutely hands-down the best preschool in Atlanta. And as a bonus, it is a Reggio school that my kids really enjoy!

My family loves this preschool! They have an incredibly caring and engaged faculty and staff. The location in the center of the cultural area of Atlanta makes it so unique and they take advantage of being right next door to the High, MODA, and Woodruff. Would highly recommend the school to other families.

This place is amazing. We have really enjoyed sending our children here. Being so close to the High, MODA and Alliance Theater has been very beneficial to our children.
