During the summer, we provide FREE movies for all guests! Every Wednesday on the beach in front of the Carousel Hotel, come enjoy family-friendly Movies on the Beach! The local Mermaids visit the Carousel Hotel's indoor pool every Wednesday 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm from May to August! Don't leave Ocean City without making new merfriends!
We primarily host parties between the months of October and May ONLY. Two-hour time slots are available on your choice of Friday from 4 pm - 9 pm and Saturday or Sunday from 9 am - 4 pm. There is a required rental fee of $75.00 to reserve a section of the Overlook. We are able to set tables with Birthday themed tableware.

Christmas Day dinner for a family of 6 at £55 per head.
Absolutely appalling service!
No bar staff on the bar in the room
So you have to walk in the other function room where the hotel guests are eating.
No table service for drinks!
No one clearing away empty glasses, side plates… taking them to the bar myself.
Looks very short staffed with no experienced servers.
Almost 2 hours in just finished the main and still no entertainment, even though advertised as a singer or something.

This review is not for the hotel but for the indoor ice skating rink. The cashier was argumentative and condescending when I ask to trade the pair of skates I received that the blades were dull. I asked for another pair and also asked when the last time the skates were sharpened . He replied "2 weeks. It not a hockey rink if It's good enough for the kids then it's good enough for you and it was just meant to entertain the hotel guests. If I didn't like the skates I should have brought my own skates." Of course there is no refund. A big disappointment since I was not able

When we arrived we were sorted out pretty quickly. We were given our room key and shown where to go. We openen the door to a room that was not ready, so after speaking to the front desk we were given free drinks and the room was made up. Alawys willing to help, and the breakfast was amazing and selection really good. Kept clean and tidy throughout the communal areas. Overall was a great place to stay.

AVOID this hotel and its group at ALL costs. This hotel books in advance and promises a cancel any time policy. Then they change the policy, don't let you know about it and then when you call to cancel they say it is within the 72 hr. time period and will charge you at least half your stay. If you do decide to stay, they charge you the FULL amount up front and if you leave because of the constant noise and horrible dirty rooms, they don't refund you any of your money. I and others have file a better business bureau compliant and they run such an "exceptional" business that they

Granted the hotel is run down, not the best and a dump. Clearly they don't care because they continue to get business for radon's I don't know. Besides the horrific bathroom, dust hanging from ceilings and dirt everywhere the positive thing is the ocean front balcony. That was great and the beach access. My biggest concern was I got an orange crush from the outdoor bar and when it was handed to me their were two bugs floating in it. I stayed 2 nights for a conference and everything was ok. However after checking out (and because I was still particip in the conference) I decided to stay another night. I went to the front desk and reserved and paid for the room and signed all paperwork. But i Could not check in until 3:00pm.

Had overnight stay via GB Tours. I stayed in a single room which was very clean and comfortable with power shower. The three course evening meal was excellent with lots of choice, well cooked and presented. The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. Following a trip through the lights we arrived back at the hotel and unfortunately only caught the tail end of the act, but thoroughly enjoyed what we did see and bar prices reasonable. Breakfast was self service and there was a good choice, again the waiting staff were great and kept replenishing the food. The only downside about this visit

Second day here and can see how reviews are mixed. We rented two condos from individual owners through CB Vacations. Unit 1408 is perfect for us- clean, oceanfront, T-Fal cookware, Not the best furniture on the balcony but ok. Unit 605 is very similar but the owner of that unit needs their a$$ kicked for having a completely rusted out door on the fridge. Not sure if CB Vacations has a standard owners should meet but they should. The owner could buy a fridge with half of what we paid for the week. Disgusting and greedy. We probably should have read more reviews before staying here. The only pros are the proximity to the beach and it is a kids dream with the game room, etc. This place needed updated 20 years ago. It is SO dirty. I can't even explain. The mattress is like sleeping on a wood board. I heard doors slam and people partying the entire night. Please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Let's see, where do I start? Not one employee smiled the entire 5 days I spent there. The main restaurant of the hotel is closed despite it being crazy busy, so they can't blame COVID for that. No daily housekeeping service, fine you can blame COVID for that one. The mattresses were the worst I have ever slept on.

Once again we held our our annual Walk4Naomi from Halifax to Blackpool. Our choice of hotel has been for a number of years the Carousel, we would not choose another! Right from the booking process to check out the staff cannot do enough for you.
The hotel is always spotless, the rooms are of a very high standard and the staff not only present themselves in the most professional way but have to be the friendliest in Blackpool.
I don’t always like to mention staff by name but I must give special thanks to Carmen for all her help throughout and Wayne who is always pleased to see us for his welcoming

For the rates this hotel charges we were expecting more. I think we probably got one of the worst rooms in the entire hotel as it DOES NOT have ANY NATURAL LIGHT!!! I wasn't even requesting a balcony or ocean view. It was like staying in a closet!!! The pools are also extremely outdated and dirty.
I did give it the 2 stars because they at least make an effort by having family events. The skating show, mermaids and family pictures are an appreciated bonus.

We stayed here after reading very good reviews about it being clean, good entertainment and overall a good experience I didn't see any of that. Those guests who said it was clean I'd hate to see the state of your home.
The carpets looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a while dust everywhere especially on the blinds musty smell throughout sachet left in shower from previous guest.
Entertainment average at best.
Dining room more like a works canteen.
On a good note staff were lovely.

The manager of their "Giostra" cafe near the ice skating rink is a disgusting racist. My son who is a dark skinned male treated us to ice cream , we went to the room and the boys stayed behind. He struck up a conversation with a Dominican female behind the counter. The manager comes over to my son and tells "you've been here an hour you have to leave". My son replies "I'm still eating my ice cream so that's impossible it would have melted". Manager then replies , "I don't care, shoo shoo leave"!

I stayed at the Carousel 7/9/21 when we arrived the room had an unpleasant odor, the curtains had mold, the tub was leaking and had rust, drawers open, had dust, I asked for new bedding and due to COVID-19 I had to change the linen and in doing so on the padding was hair, and the cover for the mattress looked like someone pissed on it. We asked for Ocean view and we had pool view and the bushes where people was looking literally in our face. We couldn't take showers until the next day when we got a hotel room somewhere else.

We were SO disappointed in our experience at the Carousel. It has not been well maintained or even cleaned for that matter. There was peeling paint, chunks of wood missing from furniture, and holes in the towels. The walls are also paper thin and we could clearly hear our neighbors and those above us making noise all hours of the night.

It's a family friendly resort. Don't expect lavish settings and luxury accommodations.. again a family friendly resort. Beach access is very convenient. There are indoor and outdoor pools. Kiddie pool. Live music in the evenings. All the restaurants have bar type food. The rooms are ok.. but you wouldn't choose a beach side resort to stay in the room all day. Anyone who has taken a Carnival cruise, should know it's very similar.. just on land. Watered down sugary drinks, kids everywhere, and rudish guests all around lol. I had a great time. So before you book- Rooms only allow AC or heat for entire building. So if heat is on in spring/fall- you will only be able to access the heat or turn your unit off completely. No AC until they turn it on for the whole hotel section of the building. They do not mention this when you check in. We said something to the front desk when we went to dinner and came back to an 80 degree room and We were upgraded to a suite- and while this had AC since it's out of the hotel section of the building... this room still had its issues. I'll mention those below.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Not worth the price AT ALL. Even in off season we paid over $80 a night for this!! See pictures attached. Also the indoor advertised heated pool was cold and did not seem cleaned at all. The hot tub had a dirty garden hose running from a deep sink into the hot tub area with the hot water valve fully open pumping hot sink water into the hot tub. That is how they were keeping it heated. Let these pictures of the room do the rest of the talking.
