Services
PEG's energy conscious designs and analysis started with its founding in 1979. In its early history, PEG focused primarily on energy evaluations of public buildings and presentations to public groups on various engineering related topics including energy efficiency. Over the next three decades, our focus gradually shifted to our engineering consulting services.
PEG provided the MEP systems design for the complete reconstruction of historic building at main entrance to the campus of Longwood University. The design included the creation of a new central chiller plant to house over 1,200 tons of chiller capacity with central cooling towers to serve this building and several adjacent buildings.
PEG performed the design of the MEP systems for the base building and tenant fit-out of a new office/warehouse building consisting of 55,000 square feet, which was certified Gold by the LEED scoring system. Our green building design secured 33% of the LEED points to certify the building for Gold and was the first Gold C.I. certification in Virginia.
PEG performed the design to upgrade the church's existing systems which were unable to maintain proper humidity and temperature throughout and provide updated capability to provide adequate ventilation air to the sanctuary. Currently, the church enjoys the comfort of modern systems with nearly no outwardly appearance of ductwork or diffusers.
PEG provided the MEP systems design for a new 27,000 SF Recreation & Sport Center Complex for Arlington County. The complex houses an athletics Recreation Center, baseball/softball fields, tennis/handball courts, press boxes, restrooms, concession stands, equipment storage areas and field lighting supply rooms.
