Conversely, confusing terms, unaccounted for circumstances, and missing legal requirements can be a recipe for a costly legal battle. Business and trademark attorney Erica Diangelo can draft, review, and inform you about contracts of all types so you have the confidence needed to carry out your business endeavors.

After practicing law at a small firm and spending tireless days in and out of courtrooms, fighting battles that could have and should have been prevented, I founded DiAngelo Law.
It took some time to find a way to merge my passion for entrepreneurship and personal growth with my skill set as a lawyer, but once I moved to the Channel District in the heart of Tampa, FL, I became immersed in the flourishing startup ecosystem and my calling was clear.Lindsey Corbin is a senior trademark paralegal with over 15 years of experience.

Schedule a free 15-minute consultation with a business attorney in Tampa to evaluate your legal needs. We'll send you a flat fee quote or estimate of legal fees along with a representation agreement and link for payment. Once you're our client, you can rest assured we're working diligently to help you achieve your next business goal.
Often times an Office Action (trademark refusal) is issued for technical reasons that can be fixed. Other times there may be complex substantive reasons for the refusal, like the trademark is too similar to an existing trademark. Sometimes the solution is responding with a legal argument supported by legal precedence and evidence.
You're finally following your passion and making your dream of building a successful company a reality. There are a lot of myths and misconceptions out there about what type of entity to create, which state to start it in, what tax designations to select, and what information is needed to start a business in Florida correctly.
Contracts don't have to be intimidating! In fact, you can feel much more confident with a contract in place that accurately reflects your wishes in writing. It means you and the other parties to the contract are legally obligated to carry out your wishes.
Conversely, signing a contract that you don't understand or that doesn't accurately reflect your agreement can leave you owing money, unpaid for services rendered, or even worse, you could end up in a costly legal dispute. The same holds true for "handshake" agreements or having no contract at all.

Words are not enough to express my gratitude for Erica & the DiAngelo Law team in getting my trademark approved. My trademark was likely a challenge but Erica was persistent and tenacious in working with the USPTO to get it done. Thank you, Erica, for making my dream come true! I highly recommend DiAngelo Law for any patent & trademark case!

My experience was not a good one. The founder was quick to get on an intro call and send the payment links, but once work was *outsourced to a paralegal business * there was no follow up.
Applications were mailed (which takes forever) with
1) unsigned checks sent directly from the paralegal office
2) name of the business spelled incorrectly
3) wrong info about our business. The founder's helper kept sending me the proof from the Florida website that they had done their job, but she never looked at the words. It clearly said application received, application rejected. The founder kept

After months of struggling to file my trademark on my own I decided to choose a trademark lawyer. I was overwhelmed with firms. I took my time and reached out to a few. DiAngelo Law got back to me same day, was upfront about the costs (which ended up less than the competitors), and really took the time to know me and my business. Erica made the process seamless and stress-free, while keeping me informed every step along the way. I was so elated when the trademark came through! She is the best! And I recommend her to all entrepreneurs and businesses!!!
