Home Inspections are visual examinations of the physical structure and systems of the home, from top to bottom and inside out. It is a process of discovery. Our professional home inspectors have a unique skill. They have developed an instinct for discerning problems or deficiencies through intense training and lots of experience performing inspections.
DO NOT use your initial home inspection report in lieu of the specialized reports below! The initial home inspection report has different standards than are reported on these specialized insurance reports. These differences can cause you and your insurance agent huge problems if they are used instead of these specialized reports!
Insurance Inspections which are specialized Reports (wind mitigation inspection, roof inspection) required by some insurance companies to get coverage, as other insurance agencies may honor the report and offer premium discounts. I have to be fair, my ratings comes after 2 home inspection, the first inspection was on 9-29-21at a property oldham st sarasota, Zach was there on time, he did find about a dozen water leaks, and a water leak on front of home, he checked the sprinklers found one not working, I didn't buy this house, the roof needed replacing, Zach came recommend by Kristine neuhaus from michael saunders who was my agent.. The second home inspection was at 5115 glade fern ct, Zach was 1/2 hour late for the appt. He seemed to rush

Marquette Home Inspections did a fabulous job inspecting the manufactured home I purchased in Sarasota. The scheduling and payment was simple, they answered all my questions and noted the specific things I was concerned about. They performed a thorough inspection including going under the home. The report summarized the outstanding concerns and provided detail for everything. Have worked for an inspection company in another state I have a good understanding of the inspection process. Every once in a while you come across a business that you can just tell is a family business...one that works together cohesively, and truly delivers. We were fortunate to be able to get an appointment with Zach from Marquette Inspections on our recent Sarasota home purchase. Zach was extremely thorough on our recent home inspection, and took the time to explain any issues he saw, provide photographs of those issues, especially the ones in difficult to get to places that I could not see (deep in the crawl space, up in the attic, Etc.) My real estate agent recommended Marquette Inspections on the purchase of our home while we were out of town. She was there during the inspection. Zach wrote a very neat, detailed comprehensive report complete with photos. Small issues were exposed and addressed.
For our home owners insurance, we decided to get a wind mitigation report too. Marquette's price was highly competitive, only $75. Zach returned, climbed in the attic to inspect the construction of the roof looking for the metal straps on truss and rafters.

Wade & the family of Marquette Inspections are wonderful both personally & professionally! While our area is teaming with new companies for inspections I am not interested in what inexperience gets me in huge personal investments. The Marquette family have a very good reputation in our community and do wonderful work for a fair price, on time- in home and also paperwork as well. I used them for 4 point, wind mit, and general home inspection services. The turn around was good and so were the corrections after repairs were made. I was pleased and recommend them always.

Marquette Inspection was recommended by both our realtor at Dwell Real Estate and our closing attorney. Given how crazy the real estate market is here we felt lucky to be able to schedule them to inspect a home we put a purchase offer on.
Zach Marquette personally conducted the inspection. We expected it to be routine but, unfortunately, it was anything but. Mr. Marquette found some really challenging deficiencies in the house. Incomplete work! I paid extra for pool check but they didn't bring as much as a brush to clean algae from bottom of pool to see if it was ok. Unable to check for pool leaks--told me to hire a pool expert! Didn't check things like utility sink--had stuff stored in it! (I would have been glad to move the few items out of sink if it was above his pay grade)! Inspected only a part of the roof from attic--insulation blocked the view. (What attic doesn't have insulation)? Couldn't check shower pan because drain cover was loose. Didn't address cracked floor tile in report. This

I went to them because they were highly recommended and didn't mind paying more because I was buying an older home. They missed two plumbing leaks, $2500 in electrical work I needed to get done, and list goes on. I will say the people are very nice and do partially take the blame for putting to much trust in someone else. Lesson learned !
