This was a terrible property to stay at, and I learned my lesson for booking cheap.

The booking process and check in process itself was nice. The staff (who seemed to be the owner) was kind, but seemed over cautious.

The room was dreadful. I didn't want to take off my shoes, or touch anything for that matter. Half of the lights didn't work, or would annoyingly flicker. The carpets were stained beyond belief. These stains included a blood stain - gross. I went to put a towel over the stain to find that the shower walls were dirty and the clean towels were also stained. The bed was

Many of the other reviews of this place are opposite of my experience here. The staff, possibly a husband and wife manning the counter through the night, were very helpful and friendly. They let us check in very early and were there to give us the wifi password late in the night! The room was nice enough and roomy for the price we paid. Would recommend the Briarwood Suites to anyone looking for a good deal in SE portland!

I stayed here to try to save some money but would definitely not stay here again. Rooms are dirty with stains on the carpet and furniture. There is a bum camp on the sidewalk in front and noise all night. One night there was someone banging on a door down the hall at 3 in the morning. I got back late the second night and my key didn't work, staff didn't answer the night bell and hung up on me the first time I called on the phone. Definitely should have payed a little more to stay somewhere nicer.

I don't even know where to begin.
This hotel must be where locals come to party. Rooms stink. Walls have holes. Huge stains on the carpet. One stain looks like old blood. Microwave is all dented and bent inwards.. toilet paper holder is unscrewed half way. Toilet was dirty.
Super sketchy.
My fault for waiting last minute to book a hotel. Everything from Salem to Portland was booked completely.
Surprisingly it was quiet on a Friday night and we slept well.

Front desk guy was super nice.

I've stayed here many times, but am now disappointed. Older late night lady is just...not normal. My bathroom flooded last night at 12 14 am I threw towels down. Guess what, she charged ME for the towel . Really. She put it down as MY damage. Really??

Worst customer service! I called this place to make a correction on a reservation that I had made previously online and the lady on the phone was completely rude!!! Her name was Martha, at least that's what she claimed. I told her what had happen and what I would like to fix. She replied back to me in a rudely manner saying she doesn't want to know the story of what I wanted to fix. Well good thing I cancelled the reservation. I will never do business with this hotel ever again. Hopefully it does not happen to anyone else that will be making reservations here and I hope not all of the

So, my friend and I got this hotel due to some issues with the place we were previously going to stay at.... online I saw that it was $88 for the night. I was very wrong. It was $135. But we did get a discount... so it was down to $121.50.. the customer service was very friendly... but the room was DISGUSTING! Stains all over EVERYTHING! The towels in the bathroom had stains, the couch had stains I'm afraid to see what the sheets actually looked like.. the beds were ridiculously uncomfortable, and hard... and to be honest I didn't even get under the blankets.... otherwise things are okay

The rooms aren't bad, actually quite nice with nice TVs and kitchenettes. However the front desk attendant is one of the rudest I've met. I believe her name is Martha. We stayed their for at least over a week and every day we had to reactivate our keys and she was very rude and short on multiple occasions

The air conditioner quit. They called maintenance who refused to come in. An hour later they moved me to a room where the air conditioner worked but barely and it banged all night.

I had bug bites on my legs in the morning.

I heard neighborhood issues all night.

Finally got up at 3:30 and went to the airport.

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

The room was clean and pretty big for 85 bucks a night. Service was pretty good. The location could be better but for the price it is good. I can't give it 5 stars because the TV line up is kinda weird, the TV is nice size.
I got a king single bed and it has a little sofa and a desk, a fringe, microwave and a super nice bed with my favorite pillows.

"It's either really worn down or dirty, or some combination of the two."
"Aggressively bad service."
Quotes from my fiance after only a couple hours here. There is a toilet running, a loud bachelor party next door, and something that sounds like an air compressor going off behind the wall by our heads every couple minutes.
"What do you expect me to do about it?" A quote three times from the front desk tonight. Also, she implied my mother in law and myself might be "staying for only an hour" despite showing up in hiking gear and clearly married.
So if

I've stayed here 2 times now and I have been pleased. The rooms are clean, sink area seems to be newly renovated. Rooms have a fridge and microwave. The rooms are pretty good size and beds are comfy!

Staff was welcoming and very attentive whenever we were in need of anything.

The bathroom is a little small and bathroom doors had dents in them as if someone punched it.

It is not located in the best area of Portland, but is close to a lot of restaurants and fast food joints also not too far from

Not to many negative things to say about this place because I enjoyed my stay the 2 times

Dirty rooms, rude management, felt generally unsafe. The manager made me and my friend pay an extra 30 bucks so 2 of our friends could stay with us in the hotel. Whether it would be for only an hour or the entire night, we had to go and have our friends IDs checked and pay extra. This has never been a thing that has happened to me at any other hotel.

Ridiculous. Too much money for what we got in return.

This room is nice but is shadowed by awful customer service.

There were 4 of us sharing a double queen bed room. We got in, set our stuff down and started chatting and laughing. Literally within 5 minutes, the room phone rang and it was a desk clerk saying that someone had complained of the noise coming from our room. At 3 in the afternoon. Now, I get it, you're sharing a space with others and remaining quiet at the later hours and whatnot. We are all pretty reasonable people and I consider myself pretty respectful of others. We were not shouting, we were not running laps in the room, we
