Most fitness routines fail due to a lack of results that keep you motivated and committed to continue the program. Not to mention the boredom due to the repetitiveness of always doing the same exercises. Since not everyone can afford a personal trainer, the lack of accountability that happens when working out alone often leads to less frequent exercise, before gradually returning to exactly where one started.

My son started here a year ago during the pandemic!! We needed a safe place for him to get some outdoor activities and make new friends. Mr Chris and Ms Janae are the best instructors hands down!! In fact all their instructors are wonderful, I just know Mr Chris and Ms Janae from when we first started. My son has done so well in his training and it's because of the instructors passion, drive and care for their students to be the best.
If you haven't tried them out you truly should consider it. Jaydon loves going every week!

Have Been Taking My 4 Year Old Here For The Past Month. All The Instructors Are Great. I Love The Fact That Mr.Chris Holds The Kids Accountable. I Was Worried It'd Be Completely All Fun And Games With No Real Teaching And Discipline But It Isn't That At All. I'm Excited For My Son To Continue His Learning Here At 1st Class! If Your Thinking Of Joining Stop Thinking And Just Do It.

We have been part of the 1st Class Martial Arts Family for almost 2 years. Our boys (5 &7) absolutely LOVE it! The exercise, discipline and skills the staff teaches the kids is fantastic. The care and patience the instructors have for each child is second to none. They are simply amazing!
Even during these crazy time, 1st Class Martial Arts has gone above and beyond to make it possible for the kids to continue their practice, either at home (via zoom) or at their in-person lessons at the 'outdoor dojo'! We love 1st Class Martial Arts and would strongly recommend to anyone looking

My son started in the beginning of July and he is already more confident and ready to learn more. Instructors, Mr. Calvin and Mr. Chris are very helpful and patience with all the students plus encouraging. They teach the students more than just martial arts, they are teaching they how to be mindful, focus, and discipline. Thank you

My son joined 1st Class 3 weeks ago. Recently they had a class that involved side kicking a bag until it fell down. He was kicking and kicking and somehow this bag kept righting itself on the wall and not falling. The instructor encouraged my son to keep going until the bag fell. When it finally did the look of joy on his face was awesome!

My son was in kindergarten when we started here. He was having some issues adjusting. Coming to 1st Class really helped build his confidence, and made him feel safe. He doesn’t get all the moves right away but he loves coming to every class! Its not just about the color of the belt. It’s so much more then that!

Mr. Calvin and Mr. Chris are encouraging, inspiring and caring instructors! We came for a trial class and were impressed to hear Mr. Chris talk to the kids about never quitting, dealing with bullies with understanding, doing your best and respecting your parents. We signed up and haven't looked back. They not only do they learn self defense, how to deal with bullies, gain flexibility, and expend a lot of energy, my girls learn that winners never quit, quitters never win and hard work pays off. We were so impressed that now my husband and I take the adult classes. This have become a family

I love this school! Great instructors, great program and curriculum and awesome activities (i.e. parents night out and other fun activities as well as summer camps). My kid had low self esteem and lacked confidence. After enrolling him into this school, I noticed positive changes over time. He started demonstrating more positive behavior, helping out more around the house, showing higher self esteem and confidence. I'm so proud of him, as well as the school for their ability to really bring out the true potential that my kid had to offer. What he learns in this school will really help him

We found this place on yelp and we just couldn't be happier here we had been looking for a good martial arts place for my son and this place is just great always a great vibe and good teaching not only do they teach these kids martial arts but they also teach them respect, manner, confidence, attitude, and discipline ! I would highly recommend this place to anyone attempting to bring there child to a karate place !

I highly recommend Pro Martial Arts Torrance. We have both our boys (ages 3 and 7) enrolled in their classes, and we absolutely love it. Mr. Calvin and Mr. Chris are TOP NOTCH instructors who are EXCELLENT with kids. My boys really enjoy taking classes there, and we love how they teach and encourage mental discipline, attitude, etc. as well as the physical part of martial arts. This is a wonderful place, and a positive learning environment.
