I’ve had occasion to need 2 home inspections within 4 weeks and I cannot say enough good things about this company and Richard Stockton!! He is the most thorough, thoughtful and professional inspector I’ve ever dealt with. Richard is prompt, clear and inclusive in his observations. Richard was extremely thorough and not at all an alarmist. He alerted us to things that if left alone could potentially be more of a financial burden down the road, but in no way came across like he was exaggerating. Frankly, we're purchasing a home and I want to know EVERYTHING that could be a financial sink upon ownership. I was very pleased with the outcome. He is reasonably priced and well worth the money. I highly recommend A Better Home Inspection Services!

Maybe Mr Stockton has improved with age!
I'm glad I never saw the previous review before I called because then I would never have been able to have received one of the most thorough inspections I have ever had. I have purchased several houses and the inspector I had previously used has moved away. Mr. Stockton was so knowledgeable about many different things on the inspection of this last older home.
His expertise and wisdom on the antique and vintage aspects of the older homes can only come from his years of experience and age that some may not be able to appreciate. He has a keen eye for details

TERRIBLY ANTIQUATED AND PLAYS ON YOUR FEARS. as an agent this is my second experience with him and I knew what was coming the second time around and enough is enough. he makes massive mountains out of nothing at all and plays the fears to the client like he's doing a good job. this last time was over an EXTENSION CORD to temporary exterior lighting! citing "it's not up to code and is dangerous". first off he's not licensed to state that and secondly just UNPLUG IT. he kept preying on their fears saying you need a licensed electrician to pull everything out and do blahblahblah..... the lighting
