With the nonstop energy that is NYC, Momentum Fitness is a retreat from the chaotic hustle. Marco the owner and head trainer, along with his team of dedicated staff offer a variety of classes to suit any level/interest. They are educated on injuries and aches and pains and will take the time to cater to your exact needs, even in a full class. I found them on ClassPass, but quickly joined after realizing this is a one of a kind gym in the city. It’s sparkling clean, classy and welcoming to all. I've been working with Marsha for a little over a year now. Prior to that, I was measuring success by - 1) the number I saw on the scale, and 2) the caloric intake on MyFitnessPal. Needless to say, there was a lot of yo-yo-ing, with periods of weight loss, followed by periods of weight gain - no tracking of muscle mass, body composition, lean analysis, muscle-fat analysis -- and no progression plan. I was stuck in the same cardio pattern with no progress -- it was extremely frustrating.

Love this facility! The small class size allows for more personal attention. You can’t go wrong with any class. I find that every instructor will correct your form and motivate you to do your best. It’s pretty close to one on one training with the amount of attention they give to all of their students. Once you’re a regular like me, they really get to know what you are capable of and will make recommendations for heavier weights. I’ve seen so much progress in my transformation in these last 5 months and I couldn’t have done it without these classes. You will definitely get your money

Jonathan Constant I found Momentum Fitness after leaving Equinox and searching for a nice studio where I could practice my yoga and this place was PERFECT! I tried Stephanie’s Wednesday evening class and it was small, only 6 people, and very personalized. The lockers and showers are immaculately cleaned and stocked with soaps, shampoo, and plenty of clean fluffy towels. So glad to have finally cut off the expensive membership gym for something more intimate and welcoming!

One of the best kept secrets in the UWS fitness scene. Great training location, perfectly designed space for functional & athletic performance training. The owner Marco didn't miss a detail when creating the environment here. Very exclusive place to train. Just don't tell too many IG trainers bcuz this is not a spot for their nonsense

An excellent fitness facility and very glad I have found this place. It is a destination that offers a very personal and attentive experience as the class is small. Attended the Bodyweight Bootcamp class with Bradford. Awesome instructor and very innovative instruction. I learned a couple of new exercise moves attending his class. It is different from a typical bootcamp/HIIT class but the workout is just as intense and effective.

I live in the Boston area but travel for work and find myself in NYC at least twice a month - often for days at a time. Momentum Fitness has become my "gym away from home" due to the outstanding staff (including Marco) and the modern, clean facilities. More than a just a simple gym, Momentum is a fitness/lifestyle experience.

I left Equinox after the whole fundraising scandal and was fortunate enough to find Momentum Fitness. The gym is beautiful and clean and the space is open and inviting. The trainers are excellent and I can't wait to try their Yoga and Pilates classes. Best part is I'm no longer tied down with any expensive membership fees or contracts. This is truly NYC's best kept secret!!!

There are several things that make Momentum Fitness great. The first is the facility. It's clean, bright, and spacious. The locker rooms are clean and have everything you might need (showers, towels, hairdryer, etc.). A lot of care has gone into the facility and shows.
I first went to Momentum because I had hurt my foot, and finished physical therapy, but had not gotten back to where I wanted to be. My initial emails were answered quickly and setting up the first meeting was a breeze. My follow workouts were great, always starting promptly on time, and were clearly focused on my needs and

The amenities will blow your mind away! So spacious... fantastic large clean bathrooms, very friendly receptionists!
I came several times through fitreserve for a kettlebell/crossfit type of workout with Marco and I loved them. Perfect balance of variety and coach support. Time flies by as you do it and you are guaranteed to be sore the next day. I also like it that for this type of workout there is not as much cardio rather functional exercises with free weights, body weight and kettlebells. I get plenty of cardio from run so need to focus on strength-training and this studio is perfect for that

Great small gym/fitness studio! Love the location because it's only 1 block away from the 72nd Street 1-2-3 MTA station. The facility is very clean, organized and well designed. The girls at the front desk were pretty nice and checking in for my class was a breeze. The lockers in the restroom have keys which was cool, and there's two showers with free towels. There's also a good amount of equipment overall.
I signed up for Strength Camp with Gerrick King through ClassPass and it was awesome. A very challenging circuit class but I really liked that he tried to make it fun and allowed

I've been coming here regularly for almost two years now. I can't believe it took me so long to write a review, this place is great!
I mostly take the Sandbags & Kettlebells class with Marco but I've also tried MetCon and Grace's Bodyweight class. All are awesome and I can't wait to try Gerrick's Strength Camp.
They recently moved into a new space and it's beautiful, super clean, and a big step up from their previous locations with lots of new toys.
Marco is so nice. He's pays particular attention to form and genuinely wants to see you improve

Clean gym with versatile workout equipment.
I took Gerrick's Strength training class and it whooped my butt in the best way. Some instructors rush through example movements for each station during a round and it's incredibly frustrating when you're new to a class. Gerrick, however, did an incredible job articulating and demonstrating the each station's movement and provided support and encouragement at each station. Take this class if you want to get a good workout in!

Strength Camp with Gerrick has been my favorite class here so far. It's a circuit-based class that works out your entire body, so you know you'll be sore the day after. The class size was pretty small (max 8ppl?) so you get tons of 1:1 attention from the instructor. He's helpful in explaining the exercises and guiding your form throughout the class. Recommend his class if you're looking for a challenging full body workout!

This absolute gem of a studio has been offering free classes for first week of the New Year which I have been shamelessly taking advantage of! Gorgeous, new, spotless facilities, high quality equipment, and GREAT TRAINERS!
I am a fitness junkie who has sampled all kinds of studios all over Manhattan, have seen the tip top and absolute worst. and this one is amazing.
So far I have taken The Shred with Angela Cheng, and Primal Strength with Chris Crawford, which turned into a monster personal training session as I was the only one that morning to brave the cold. Both were very warm, fun, and friendly

Angela Cheng is BEST TRAINER EVER!!! I have been looking for a trainer for quite some time now! Nothing seemed to help until I started training with Angela C Beauty Fit! Her training is the best and I see results super fast!! I have had such an amazing transformation. BEST Personal Trainer ever in New York City!! She told me she has group class at Momentum Fitness.

I had the chance to take a free class today as part of their grand opening special for their new location on Columbus Avenue, only 1 short block from the 72nd St 1/2/3 station. The space looks well constructed with a pleasing modern design. Locker room contains 2 showers, stocked w/ complimentary towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash & body lotion. Lockers come with their own keys and very clean overall.
MetCon (metabolic conditioning) with Marco was a fantastic workout & they keep their class sizes small. He remembered all of our names and made sure we were doing the exercises properly

I came to the Kettlebell 101 class today hoping for a refresher and form correction. What I received was nearly an hour of personalized kettlebell training and general fitness/physique recommendations. As someone coming back to fitness after a long period of inactivity, this personalized approach meant the world to me.
Marco recognized the limitations of my chronic and recent injuries and worked within them to train my form and go through swing, cleans, deadlifts, and goblet squats with kettlebells. There is a reason this small fitness studio is one of the most highly rated on yelp.

I take kettlebell classes here with Marco and while I wouldn't call them "fun" (my idea of fun tends to involve fried food and alcohol... hence needing the studio in the first place), I would absolutely say that they are effective, sweaty and leave you sore-in-a-good way for days.
The classes are small - I've never been to one with more than four participants - so you get a lot of personalized attention and modifications as you need them. Marco emphasizes safety and form over aggressive competitiveness, so even though I'm new to kettlebells I always feel safe. The routines
