We are not a trend. Staffed with Power Pilates certified teachers in the Classic vein by Bob Liekens, we will guide you safely through a challenging workout. We have certified trainers as well. Owner, Jennifer Nyp has been teaching and training clients for over two decades. Her personal method combines cardio, strength and core training; pilates and yoga in one dynamic routine.

Is the owner of ZenGirl Fitness, the co-creator of The Mix fitness series, contributor to Keri Glassmans Slim Calm Sexy Diet book and a celebrity teacher/trainer. She has been an (ACE) personal trainer for 20 years, a (vinyasa) yoga instructor for 21 years and a (Power) Pilates instructor for 16 years.
Usually, 1 serving=1/4 cup. To cook it; poor enough millet into a small sauce pan-enough to cover the bottom; Put enough water in to cover about 1 inch above the millet. Cook on medium to high until there is no water left in. Be careful not to undercook or burn. It should not be crunchy, but more textured than oatmeal.

I was lucky enough to find Jennifer on a recent trip to NYC. I had several private sessions with her and she is awesome. Having used private trainers for years I can confidently say that Jennifer knows her stuff. Her space is great and well equipped, her moves, sequencing and queuing are well thought out, effective and her communication is perfect! She's indeed beautiful inside and out and I thoroughly enjoyed my work with her. 100% highly recommend!

Jennifer is incredible. Prior to joining ZenGirl Fitness, I had no pilates experience or regular workout routine. I've now been going consistently for a year and can definitely see and feel the results. The classes are challenging but so worth it!

I got to try a free Pilates class during the First Annual Fitness Expo hosted by Soho Strut.

The class was at the event so it was an abbreviated class and well it was free, so not complaining about that.

I have taken a few Pilates classes before and for some reason, I have never really found it to be my group exercise of choice. And here is the reason. I think Pilates focuses way too much on just the core.

And while we had a really good instructor, she was clear and gave good instruction, I found myself bored by the end of 30 minutes. There is only so many different ways to do abdominal crunches

I booked a deal through Gilt (actually - booked it through Zengirl directly, but they honored the Gilt pricing) and the owners are just lovely. I had 2 privates with Vanessa and my third was scheduled with someone from Equinox who was subbing. The space is beautifully appointed - it's a loft inside a super nice condo on Broadway - and they offer lessons and group classes. Vanessa is very nice and good to work out with, and I look forward to scheduling some additional lessons soon.

I've been doing private lessons with Cortnie now for about a month and I do not know how I lived without her! I booked up in order to get in shape for my upcoming nuptials and have really enjoyed the lessons - even the ones that start a 7am to fit in with my crazy work schedule. The space is small but lofty and completely kitted out - reformers, towers, kettle bells, mats, the works. These guys really know what they're doing but it's not intense and you don't feel intimidated as is the case with some other places. I started out by doing a three class deal through Gilt Group

I love zengirl! I've been training with suzanne for over 1 year and she has really helped me get back into shape since I had my baby! We do pilates as well as different cardio work and weights too. I also recently started doing the tower class which is usually 2-4 of us working out and I love it! Def ask for Suzanne the next time you want to work out at zengirl... you won't be sorry!!

I found Jennifer thanks to Yelp and I always make sure to book a private with her every time I'm in NYC. I LOVE her teaching style and appreciate her diverse background in fitness- Yogi, Classical Pilates expert, Kettlebell, she knows it all! I'm currently getting my Pilates Certification and she was so awesome in breaking down the exercises and made sure I FELT it (which I did up until the next day!) Can't say enough great things about Jen and the beautiful space @ Zen Girl. Can't wait to see her this upcoming Thanksgivng!

I LOVE Zengirl Fitness. I've been taking privates with Jennifer (the owner) and its been awesome! I've taken my fare share of pilates and yoga classes but I have to say you are working your butt off but Jennifer makes it so much fun. I'm always excited about my sessions with her.

Jen Nyp and Zengirl rock! I can honestly say that I have never been in better shape and I owe it all to jen. In addition to being a knowlegeable, supportive and fun trainer, she is an exceptional human being. Kind, smart, funny... I always look forward to my sessions with her. And the space is lovely. It has great machines and equipment, is light filled, and definitely has a "zen" atmosphere, while being comfortable. Gina, the other owner is also a great trainer and wonderful person. I highly reccommend them!

Zengirl Fitness is great! I have only been training with Jennifer for a month, but can already see a huge change in my stamina and more importantly my pant-size. The space is huge and airy, and has all the equipment you could ever want from a gym. The ability to train using both traditional weight-training equipment and pilates equipment, coupled with the state of the art Keiser machine can't be beat. More importantly, Jennifer is totally fun and supportive and actually makes owrking out fun! Try it--I promise you won't regret it.

ZenGirl Fitness is incredible!!! I'd say it's the best pilates studio i've been to and i've been to quite a few. The space is amazing, big open loft with a wide variety of very current machines and floor space. My trainer Jen is the best, she's literally changed my body in a couple of months - it's unbelievable. They really know what they're doing and always mix it up. I highly highly recommend them. You won't beleive how quickly you see results.

They have a complete pilates studio, yoga wall, massage parlor, cardio equipment, kettle bells, Keyser machines, etc. I've been going to semi-private sessions here for 10 weeks and feel stronger than I've ever been. For those looking for a different, effective, and results-producing workout, this is your place.
