Shepherd's Flock Preschool strives to learn the needs of each student and plans for successful fulfillment of those needs. The cognitive, social-emotional, physical and creative development of each student is a priority in our program. Through theme based pre-k state standard cuirrculum and positive experiences at Shepherd's Flock, children will have an excellent foundation for further participation in public or private school.
Shepherd's Flock offers Full-Time, Part-Time full days and Full-Time, Part-Time 1/2 days of care. Families needing all day care from 7:00am - 4:00pm not only benefit by having the ultimate structured preschool experience from 7:00am-12:00pm but also benefit from the comfort of a loving home to rest, relax and enjoy the afternoon playing with friends.

Services
Shepherd's Flock Preschool/Daycare is a licensed Large Family Childcare established in 2000 by Heide Shepherd. Heide holds a BA degree in Child Development from California State University, Chico, and completed the Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential Program in 2011. Heide is a Mentor Teacher for college students who are placed at her site to further educate themselves about the development of children.
Our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch is always exciting. Not only do the students get to ride in a wagon out to the patch to pick a pumpkin, they also shuck corn, feed the horses, chickens and climb an obstacle course. The rope swing over hay stacks is a favorite. Located in Durham, students have an opportunity to dig for worms and climb a huge worm compost pile.
