Parkside Daycare & Preschool offers a unique kind of childcare that all parents dream of having their child be a part of during those precious young years. Parkside is only 3 blocks from Parkview Elementary School and Bidwell Park Nature Center.

We our honored to have Randy as our director since 2017 and has been part of the Parkside Preschool and Daycare since 2012. With great attention to detail and concern Randy keeps our center ruining smoothly. Safety and instilling a love for play and learning is always at the forefront of her mind making her a leading example of what we stand for.
In light of the obesity and diabetes epidemics, efforts to promote healthy lifestyles are critically needed. Building a strong future starts today. Supporting Healthy Lifestyles: We are committed at Parkside Preschool and Daycare to creating a healthy environment for all our children by providing an excellent nutrition program and plenty of physical activity.
Thank you for the amazing adventures and educational experiences you give our children every day! We are so fortunate for your staff that loves and cares for them like family! I like that Parkside strives to provide nutritious foods and that nature is very much a part of the curriculum. Liliana loves the park walks!
Parkside has partnered with the following organizations to further instill in our children a love for learning and discovery! We are very grateful for what they offer to our children and community. Currently our Parkside kids are attending weekly classes at the Chico Nature Center and Two-by Two Ranch and loving it!

Parkside has a wonderful Pre-K program. We have been there about a year now and my daughter loves it. She is very independent and their program allows for her to make choices and have some control of her day while still having structure. We came from a school where she dreaded going - so this was huge and welcome change. I feel good about dropping her off everyday knowing that she is happy and engaged.

My daughter went to this school and we had a wonderful experience there. It was well run and had an excellent staff. The kids exercise every day, do arts & crafts, math etc., and walk to the Nature Center (practically across the street). They’ll bring in special guests, like a goat or a pig. The only thing I’d mention is that they’re a little expensive, but you get what you pay for!
I honestly have no idea why anyone would rate it less than 5 stars, unless they have a grudge? I highly recommend this place.

There are much better daycares in Chico. The office staff is terrible, they are rude and do not return calls/emails. There is a huge turnover of staff, which effects continuity of care. Staff seem overwhelmed and don’t provide much feedback. The prices increase often without very much notice and deposits are not refunded. Pick a different daycare.
