I would highly recommend this dojo to athletes of all skill levels looking to work hard and grow stronger both physically and mentally. Dr Ferguson is an incredible instructor and motivator, and he pushes you to be your best in and out of the dojo. He always says 'we laugh hard, cry hard, smile hard, and train hard... we do it all 100%', and I feel this embodies his dojo perfectly. When I started I was brand new to martial arts and I felt very comfortable with the approach to training. Plus the other students are all supportive and respectful of one another so it's easy to feel like family. If

My 6 year old daughter and I both go to Tampa Florida Judo. Dr Ferguson is an amazing instructor, coach and person. He truly cares about every individual and family that steps in the dojo. You will not only learn about judo and bjj but also great life lessons as he is an educator in more ways than one. The dojo is a wonderful, positive family like environment and I highly recommend!

What an honor it is to be part of Dr Ferguson’s Judo class. While looking for an extra curricular activity for my now 5 year old ( she started at 3) we landed the perfect place for her to not only learn Judo but gain confidence, character building and most importantly; how to fail and get back up! Dr Ferguson does not take it easy with the lessons he instills great discipline in everyone of those kids/adults. Individually and collectively he assures that you go in and give 110%. Love and appreciate the family dynamic.

I flew my two sons (7&9) down from Dallas, TX to train BJJ with Dr. Ferguson. I quickly realized the difference between passive martial arts and ELITE training. That weekend, my children not only became better martial artists but more importantly, better human beings. In my mind, this place represents the true essence of Martial Arts. Hard work, discipline, and focus without all the coddling!

Wow, what can I say? I have been with Dr. Ferguson since I was about 5 years old, and it has truly changed my life for the better. Before my family and I started training here we knew nothing about how to train. Now, my brother, sister, and I are all national champions. We all also make straight A's in school, and my brother is now off at college after making a 34 on the ACT and getting accepted into medical school early. I would say this place and its teachings have greatly influenced my family and I. The discipline and focus you learn helps not only in judo but in life. So, if you're looking

Dr. Ferguson and his family have been a part of our lives for years now. I still remember my children’s first day of Judo. They were so proud and excited. Even though they are a bit older now, they look back at Judo as a great experience. They love Dr. Ferguson, his children and even his parents and consider them family. I am grateful that my children were able to experience the discipline and dedication of an Olympic Athlete of Rhadi’s caliber. He has taught them about the sport as well as about life and learning to recognize opportunities and go for their dreams.

Dr. Ferguson is the best Judo trainer and coach in the nation. His knowledge and expertise in coaching, training and the development of character makes him a good fit for children needing to learn self-defense and self - control as well as others looking to master martial arts or any combat sport for that matter. The Dojo is sanitary and safe. I would highly recommend Tampa Florida Judo for the one thing you can’t get anywhere else - 2004 Olympian, 4x National Judo Champions , Bruce Lee Lifetime Achievement Award winner Dr. Rhadi Ferguson!
His kids are there too and that makes it even better

Tampa Florida Judo is home to one of the TOP/BEST Judo instructors in the country that is Dr. Rhadi Ferguson. I first heard heard about Dr. Ferguson through my BJJ instructor Rob Kahn (Royce Gracie Black Belt) and he strongly encouraged me to learn under him.
Dr. Ferguson has an incredible understanding of Judo both on the technical and mental side. While his teaching style may seem unconventional at first; it is second to none as he knows exactly what it takes to be a world-class, professional Judo/BJJ athlete. He understands aspects of Judo that many other coaches don’t, even at the international

It’s not every day you get the opportunity to learn from and train with a Judo Olympian, D1 Wrestler, Professional MMA Fighter, and ADCC veteran amongst many other accolades. Dr. Ferguson is truly one of a kind and the mold
was broken after him. From knowing the art and science of grappling to incorporating PhD level methods of instruction to his comprehensive grappling curriculum, Dr. Ferguson is a true coach that can cater to the needs of ALL his students. I have been training with him for several years and am forever grateful to have him as a coach, mentor and friend.

I've been under Dr. Ferguson for over 11 years now.
During my first two years of Judo, I had never won a gold medal in a Judo tournament.
After meeting Dr. Ferguson, that quickly changed. I gave Dr. Ferguson my first gold medal in a Judo tournament and he still has it to this day.
Moreover, Dr. Ferguson has taught me skills of how to be a black belt not only on the mat, but a black belt off the mat as well.
Using the skills that Dr. Ferguson has taught me for the past 11 years, I have been able to achieve a 34 on the ACT, a full ride scholarship to the University of South Alabama, and early
