We believe that when families are engaged in their students' learning and have access to resources to meet their basic needs, students get off to a strong start in their educational and personal development. Mission: The Highlandtown Preschool provides high-quality and accessible early learning opportunities to the economically and culturally diverse families of Southeast Baltimore.
The Highlandtown Preschool uses the Frog Street Pre-K curriculum as the underlying basis for our program, which supports every aspect of your child's development-physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and linguistic. Frog Street is an MSDE-approved curriculum that uses age and developmental appropriate activities to promote learning in math, language and literacy.
The Highlandtown Preschool is conveniently located in Southeast Baltimore, with easy access to interstates 895 and 95. Located in Highlandtown, we are glad to serve families from around the area and particularly from Canton, Fells Point, Brewer's Hill, Patterson Park, and Baltimore Highlands. We're a quick walk to beautiful Patterson Park where our students enjoy outdoor lessons and structured play.
A non-refundable registration fee of $75 per family, along with a non-refundable deposit of one month's tuition, is due at the time of enrollment. Checks should be made payable to the Highlandtown Preschool. Please include your child's name on the memo line. Checks may be sent directly from your bank to the school, at 141 S. Clinton Street, Baltimore, MD 21224.
Applications received by those dates will be processed using our enrollment preferences (see below) and the available slots in our classrooms. When we reach those target enrollment dates, we will contact all interested families to let them know if their students have been admitted or if they have been placed on a wait list.
