Our goal is to promote the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of each child in an enriched environment. This environment is developmentally appropriate, family centered, and encourages independent and group experiences. Our program is planned around the children's developmental needs.
We provide choices while supporting curiosity in a safe and healthy environment emphasizing language, sensory exploration, music and motor skills. High interest activities are planned in our learning centers that reflect our investigative studies and meet the standards of our 5 star license and the North Carolina Office of School Readiness.

Services
Every baby is unique. The most appropriate care occurs in an environment that feels like home where children are free to explore and teachers encourage their emerging interests. Using the five senses is the most natural way for babies to learn. We plan activities emphasizing sensory, language, music and motor skills in a safe and healthy place.

They don't have security cameras. They don't enforce parent check-in logs. In split families, they have no way of documenting which parent pays their turn. They have very little if any diversity among the employees and children that I saw.
If you explain any discomfort with anything they do, they label you as problematic and don't treat you the same afterwards. Then they gossip about you to fellow coworkers.
They don't have any technology or new items in the classrooms... everything inside seems to be older and worn down. The teachers gossip about the parents around the children

We moved to the area from Virginia where we attended another 5 star school (Goddard) and when we set out to look at childcare in the area we initially went to 2 other places before we changed to Durant. I could not say enough wonderful things about the school, teachers and administrators Gerri and Andrea. As a parent, you are looking for a safe, educational place for your children and ultimately are looking for peace of mind. That is exactly what Durant Road Preschool provides.
