Worst property management in Bend. They kicked us out of our house with barley a 30 day notice. The two women running the business, lied to my roommates and I, telling us that “the owner wasn’t sure what he wanted to do with the house, and that he might sell.” Really for them to just raise the rent by $800 after we were out. They also kept 95% of our security deposit when they had no right to. I dont think they were legally aloud to do any of this. I hope they feel great about robbing 3 mid-twenty year olds, and leaving them homeless. Stay away from this place, and the woman running in charge

It has been a challenging year due to COVID but Austin Property Management maintained their professionalism throughout, offering advice, guidance and assistance. Maintenance needs were immediately addressed and quickly resolved. Stephanie and her team have proven to be both dependable and capable over the past three years. I couldn't be more satisfied with their service and recommend them with complete confidence.

My wife and I were looking to use this management company to rent out our lovely home in Bend. My family in Missouri needs our attention and we need to move. Unfortunately, several times the company dropped the ball and did not return our phone calls for many days and did not keep our appointment times with an apology. The owner Stephanie must be overwhelmed and no time to individualize her attention to clients. I understand being busy, but we must rely on a company if we want to have a trusting and respectful relationship. I can not recommend Austin Properties.

I feel like the staff is not personable and unknowledgeable. We had some water damage as renters and they seem to have no understanding of how to deal with that process. We never received any grace or kindness as we all tried to figure out the procedures while working with insurance. They seemed like they were just out for the money....always. They never seemed to listen to us or care about our point of view, opinions, or research.

Austin Property Management has been a perfect choice for us. They are very responsive and detail oriented. They ensure any needed repairs are done timely and by quality contractors. They are fair to all parities and follow the law. Sometimes this was not in our favor, but we were satisfied knowing there would not be any legal ramifications that would come back on us.

We are going on 2 years and on our second house with Austin Property Management. These guys have been so great to work with, I really can't describe how nice it's been working with them. Any time there is a maintenance issue, they are on top of getting it taken care of and communication couldn't be better. Prior to renting from them, I was against going through property mgmt. Now I realize that there are just bad property managers and these guys are one of the few good ones.

I have been renting from Austin properties for almost 9 years. In my many decades of being a renter, I have never rented from a property management that is as respectful, treats you fair, talks to you with respect and most of all, the are prompt with all maintenance issues.

After signing a rental agreement and paying my deposit, the contract was cancelled by Austin less than a week prior to my move in date. This was done due to the smell of cat urine in the home and what I was told the owners unwillingness to take care of the situation. One day later they re-listed the home for an additional $100 per month. I had to pay movers twice and could have legally taken action - not worth my time. If you rent from them, you should know they are far from honest.

RENTER BEWARE: A serious lack of healthy communication is what we experienced with Austin Property Management in Bend. I rented through them for a few years, and had negative experiences after I expressed concerns about arising and disregarded problems with the property. Later, I learned that I was not alone.

Austin property management gave us roughly $200 back from our $2,000 deposit for the 1800 square foot house we rented from them. Supposedly it took the THREE cleaners an entire 17 hours to clean the house, which was roughly $600!!! This wasn't including carpets. There is no way this is possible, especially considering we are EXTREMELY clean folks (OCD). My husband and I only approved 8 hours of cleaning and they went ahead and did more anyway with approval from Stephanie and Heather who never communicated ANY of this to us! Currently in our first long-term rental situation after selling our home of 13 years, so we didn't know what to expect, but have heard negative comments about most property management companies in Bend, Oregon. This is a disreputable company, stay away. They are trying to charge me $3200 to replace eleven year old carpet that was professionally cleaned. They have a ridiculous checklist when you leave which Isis every single item, left it much cleaner than when I took occupancy. They still charged me $400 for cleaning. They are dishonest and I would avoid at all costs. I have my own rental properties and I would never get away with this or treat good tenants like this.

Am currently renting a house from Austin Prop. Management and they've been great. We have had a couple small issues and they've handled everything in a very nice and fair manner. I met Stephanie yesterday at the office and she was very helpful and respectful. Would recommend this company over others in the area I have rented through.

Ridiculously disorganized and disagreeable company, particularly Stephanie Kramer. We moved to Bend from the Midwest -- where we own and rent property of our own -- found a nice enough home in Northwest Crossing, and rented it through Austin Property. The homeowners decided to list the property six months into our lease, it was shown throughout that time, and did not sell. At the end of our lease term, Stephanie informed us that we were being offered a month-to-month rental agreement, and the the house was no longer on the market. We felt abused by both the owners of the home and by Austin Property
