Joe and his team did an amazing job. They gave a very reasonable estimate showed up on time did the work and cleaned up thoroughly after they were done. Their team was respectful of our home and our time. While no one loves getting their chimney rebuilt it was an amazing experience highly highly recommend this team

I hired Victorian Chimney to rebuild two Chimney's on my house that were in bad repair. From start to finish they were a delight to work with; Joe kept me posted close to every day regarding the job and work to be done. He sent me a clear and concise contract and adhered to it completely. His crew was professional and nice, answering questions that came up. They matched the old brick on my house as close as they could and I couldn't be more pleased. The crew cleaned up the mess and one would never know that they were here. Absolutely the best experience ever! Very pleasant interaction on every level. Joe took my information and the masons arrived the very next morning to assess the job! Even better- the work was done professionally and promptly two days later. I would definitely recommend this company for chimney repair work. It was an anxiety free experience and the before and after photos of the job tell an even better story. Our old, broken down chimney looks beautiful!

Joe is a good guy with roots in the area and has an experienced and professional crew. Ricky is a skilled top notch Mason and the quality of his work is excellent. They were all nice guys and were polite, friendly and professional. Joe helped me to understand the process and patiently answered all my questions. I could tell my satisfaction as a customer was a priority and that's the most you ask or expect of any professional/contractor.

Numerous no shows. Terrible company.
Scheduled chimney sweep for December 9. A guy showed up, looked in the fireplace, suggested we replace the liner, and began to leave, telling me someone would call with an estimate. I asked why he was not going to clean the chimney, and he said he didn't have the tools with him. He said someone would come out on Saturday to clean it. Saturday, no one showed up. Next week I called. They apologized and said someone would be out on December 21 to clean chimney. The day came and went. No show again. Three times scheduled. Three times no chimney sweep.

These guys were absolutely fantastic! We had to rebuild the flues at my daughters home and the job was done at a great price, very professional and CLEAN! I just had them do my flagstone patio at my home in Potomac and they did a great job on that too! I highly recommend them.

Here's a 100% truthful chronological report of my experience with Victorian Chimney Service. We needed a chimney cap. They had an ad in a direct mail pack. They offered a $25 off coupon on chimney caps. Their reputation appeared very good so I called them. I mentioned the height of the chimney, discussed price, and set the appointment for 12/2/19 between 10-1. So on that day, unbeknownst to me, the tech parked in our driveway, wrote up an estimate for the same price, and rang my doorbell. Surprised, I was not told it would be for an estimate only. I wish I had contacted Victorian Chimney first. We ended up paying $150 to get an "inspection" of our Chimney done by Bethesda Chimney in the winter, when we first moved into our house. It took Bethesda Chimney a whole 5 minutes to tell us it needed to be relined. Their quote was $5,500. We then called 2 other companies to look for estimates, with Victorian Chimney being one of them. Victorian Chimney was the ONLY company that followed up with me after providing a totally free inspection and quote. We held off on getting the work done until Summer, but Joe, the owner, honored the same

I contacted another chimney company. Like night and day. While the guy from Victorian canceled twice, then spent maybe 10 minutes inspecting the chimney before showing me an out-of-focus picture of what I presumed was the chimney crown (I really couldn't tell) and saying only "needs a liner, I'll have the boss call you", the other company spent considerably more time inspecting and photographing the length of the chimney, plus my furnace chimney, and then provided clear photos of problem areas inside and out (it does need a liner). I had another chimney company come to supply information on why I am receiving cold air in my place and it was because the damper that was installed by Victorian Chimney did not close all the way. The licensed technician from the other company then told me both of my flues are not regulation, the smoke chamber was not sitting correctly and I should not even light any fires. He asked why the company, Victorian Chimney, did not inform me about this issue and fix them. I did not have any clue and I feel like I was taken advantage of by Victorian Chimney.

Previously used this organization. They were the highest price, but were the quickest option we had.
However since the service 4 years ago, I've been getting calls every 6 months during their slow times to get me to schedule service. I no longer own the home that they serviced.
I've asked no less than three times to be removed from their call list with no luck. Reported them to the FTC. Extremely frustrating.

I never write reviews, but had to write one for this company after the terrible service I had. If I could rate it lower, I would. They had terrible communication, failed to do a proper cleaning, blamed the appliances for their failures, didn't show up as scheduled, then avoided my calls.
For starters, their correspondence is terrible. The guy who answers the phone just doesn't get it regardless of how many times you explain to him. The actual cleaning went terribly as they only made matters worse which cost me a lot more money. They deny any mistakes and give you the run around

After receiving an estimate for work and scheduling for a specific date, less than an hour before the team was due to arrive at my house, they called and said that they were behind schedule. Okay, being late is understandable. But then the hours dragged on and they decided in the afternoon that they couldn't make it at all. Frustrating -- and a day off of work waiting on them for nothing.
I rescheduled for a new date. Confirmed the new date a few days in advance. And, lo and behold, AGAIN, day of and they are running behind and may not
