The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. Life isn't always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life's more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point.

Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, relationships, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you.

Mark is a great therapist; thoughtful and welcoming, supportive and insightful. I offer an 8-session format of couples therapy designed for experiential change by integrating common factors. You will acquire new tools to communicate and then practice them in session using very structured exercises.* Each session builds on the previous to form a solid foundation and framework to get your relationship back on track or to continue sessions and deepen the work.
The counseling I provide is really a collaboration between you as an individual and me as a therapist. Together we build a supportive environment where you can talk openly with a professional trained counselor who is both neutral and nonjudgmental. From there we'll be able to identify the thought and behavior patterns that are keeping you from feeling your best and begin turning them around.
Adding children to a marriage can bring lots of stress and change the dynamics of the relationship. As the saying goes, the days are long but the years are short. My aim is to provide a space for couples to reconnect again and being the focus back to each other. Its common for marital satisfaction to decrease after having children but that can be mitigated with the right help.
Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the courage to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. In our work together, I'll help you explore and identify your strengths and how to implement them to reduce the influence of the problems you are facing. The difference is between someone who can do something, and someone who has the training and experience to do that same thing professionally.

I have met and interacted with Mark Murro through our Consultation group over the last couple of years. He is a warm, kind-hearted person who really cares about his patients. He is clear and articulate and breaks-down even the most complicated issues in easy to understand language - basically no BS! He continues to grow through his different training modalities to create a unique, tailor-made treatment for each of his patients. I highly recommend working with Mark.

As a former colleague from an outpatient setting, I have had the opportunity to witness, learn, and grasp a good sense of Mark's work ethic and overall essence as a clinician. I was quite new working with the adult population and feeling intimidated, and to work collaboratively alongside Mark, I have learned how the basic human connection is the most critical component in the mental health field. Mark helped me see beyond the person's diagnosis and to actually see the person's humanity, and how this very individual can indeed contribute to their community while discovering their

Mark is a deeply empathetic clinician who makes his clients feel quite comfortable to delve into the therapeutic "stuff" and work with it in a caring and non-judgmental way. He really has his clinical game down, especially when it comes to working with couples, and cutting through the BS... I cannot recommend him enough!
