This place was recommended by the Clarion Inn staff where we had stayed. They mentioned about it having the best salad bar and they were right! They have a good selection in the salad bar and it comes with all entree orders (including kids meal). Our party had Steak burger, Rocky Mount sandwich (that tasted like a Monte Cristo), Pork Sriracha, Kids Rib tips and Kids pasta. All were tasty and filling and we had to go boxes because they are big portions. I'd come back here next time we are on the area.

FYI: the salad plates are chilled. More like frozen! May hands hurt holding it while

Atmosphere was great, staff was super friendly. Salad was very good. My old fashioned was probably the top 3 worst old fashioned’ I ever had. Maybe wrong place to order that drink, my fault. It had sugar in it too. Weird. My steak was basically served right from the butcher shop. I asked for medium and I got what seemed to be medium rare or rare. Ate it with the lobster. The chocolate moose was great. Came home and have been in the bathroom 3x within an hour. Must be food poisoning. I’m struggling to give this place 3 stars because of my experience but maybe one day I’ll come back and try

The food and the ambiance are classic, great food with a rustic log cabin feel. I have been going here for 15 years and have enjoyed every visit.

A good place for rustic food. Bar and seating availability. Fireplaces in the winter. Friendly and fairly quick service. Never had a bad meal there.

Very crowded table spacing on a busy Sat night- a lot of chair bumping as folks made their way to and from salad bar. Our meals were good with very large serving sizes . We had the Salmon and pork chop dinners along with stuffed mushroom app ( very good ). Not sure where the fine dining description applies as we had a number of folks sitting nearby that would not fit that bill - greasy baseball hats and dirty clothing, faces 3 inches from plate while shoveling in their salads........ altogether a rather unpleasant experience . Service was very good , pleasant and efficient.

I have visited Lake George at least once/twice a year since before the Log Jam restaurant and associated outlets even existed, and the Log Jam is always my first vacation-evening dinner. The meals/specials never disappoint. That salad bar is pure nostalgia with the chilled metal plates. The winter holiday decor is so welcoming, no words can describe it. And I get to do it every year; I love it.

The salad bar was phenomenal however the burger was just average. My friend had a lobster roll that he rants about constantly. The service was enjoyable and the location is perfect for shopping. The ambiance was great

My sister and her husband had eaten here in years past, so we decided to stop by for lunch. Party of four all with basic lunch orders. Two Lobster rolls, a Turkey Club and a Vegi Burger. After the salad bar the wait just continued. They were busy, but good restaurants know how to deal with busy days. We waited nearly two hours. The server was not the least apologetic saying the kitchen was backed up when, after the food finally arrived, I asked her, very politely, if such long waits were normal. They did not offer to do anything in light of this absurd wait. Worst experience ever at a restaurant

Rustic with a casual, relaxed atmosphere. The service was excellent, the wait staff attentive and pleasant. I ordered the Roasted Long Island Duck with rice. I had the lite portion. The duck was tender. The orange sauce, light. For dessert, I ordered the Creme Caramel. The food was excellent and the portions generous.

Great little place in Lake George! Outstanding plentiful salad bar included with most meals. I had steak au poivre and husband had fried cod and linguine w clam sauce. And ordered the toll house cookie pie for dessert 😋. Great, prompt service especially in a time when so many restaurants are short handed and the service has suffered! Would definitely go back!

What a great place! Easy to pass if you are driving the main road but make a u turn if you miss it!
From the staff, amazing salad bar, homemade bread and huge meals it deserves the very rare five star rating from me.
Everytime I come close to this area again, I will easily drive 30 minutes out of my way just to have a meal here.
It's not cheap but very much worth it.

Great local spot! Flatiron steak is the best. Nice Adirondack ambiance (not flashy or fancy). Delicious salad bar, but save room for the meal!! Don't pass up the mashed potatoes. We didn't order dessert, too stuffed. Good, strong coffee. Good service. A little outside of lake George so easier parking and not as crazy in peak busy seasons. Reservations recommended, especially on busy weekends. Near all the outlets. Recommend!

Made a reservation for 18 of us for dinner. Very friendly and attentive service. Great great food. The Shrimp cocktail was amazing! Large shrimp too they didn't go small and cheap. The garlic bread is a must have! Nice and hot and the perfect amount of garlic. I had the scallops and they were to die for - cooked perfectly and a great portion as well. They have a salad bar but I decided to opt out due to the whole Covid thing, but I did take a look at the salad bar out of mere curiosity and it was very clean and tidy.
I highly recommend this restaurant especially for large groups.

Salad bar is back open and phenomenal. The Reuben was ok and wasn't impressed with the onion rings. If you like a really good salad bar get the salad and soup for $8.75. You won't be disappointed and won't need any other food.

Visited this restaurant twice, a week apart, last month. Our first visit was, basically, the all you can eat salad bar for which they are famous. Nice selection of condiments but the sliced red onions were a bit slimy. Second visit we ordered the French dip...pretty sure the meat came out of a pre packaged Hormel plastic box. We also ordered the very expensive scampi. The shrimp was rubbery and smelled old. The dip sandwich was just plain inedible. This place need not worry about 1 bad review. Wait time for dinner was 45 minutes. Appeared to be largely tourists/ motorists driving through town

Friendly service, excellent food & salad bar. You can get a good steak & lobster here. The smashed potatoes with vegetable cream cheese is the bomb! Popular spot, so you may want to reserve. My one comment is that medium rare is not medium. 🥩

The Bubbly Shrimp appetizer was good, garlicky and cheesy, but the Steak Au Poivre was over cooked, actually out of 4 red meats (3 steaks and 1 lamb) ordered at the table, only one person got their steak the way they ordered it. But the fries were good.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is lovely and the service was great, but the food was just so so.

Came here for dinner and had the roasted duck breast served with an orange sauce and the mashed potatoes. The duck was nice enough, but seemed slightly undercooked in the middle. My partner got the chicken bruschetta and it was just average. On the other hand, the mashed potatoes were deliciously creamy! We also shared a slice of the cheesecake for dessert -- it was a huge portion and tasted good.

One nice thing about Log Jam is that they offer their entrees in "regular" and "lite

My husband took our family and my parents out for my birthday dinner here at the beginning of the month and it was so good! My mom and husband both had the prime rib and my dad got a sirloin I believe. They all raved about it. I got a chicken dish which was so flavorful. Our kids had the shrimp appetizer, french onion soup, and macaroni and cheese. Our 2yr old also loved the bread and tomato from the salad. Service was excellent and while pricey, you definitely get a lot of food and the quality was there. We would definitely go back.

This rest is a gem of the area.
The interior is made in a lodge style, which makes this place very "warm." We were seated by the fireplace, which made us feel very cozy.
It is open during COvID, and they make everything in their power to follow the rule of social distancing and providing sanitizers.
You cannot use the salad bar, but they bring you some salad with any dressing you like.
For the main course, I ordered the scallops; it was served beautifully and cooked to perfection. Scallops tasted as they suppose to, fresh with no fishy odor, little sweet with buttered breadcrumbs on

We went here recently on a family vacation, after reading the good reviews. I'm so glad we did! This is such a great family restaurant, with exceptional service. I can't say enough about how fabulous our server was, especially with our 2 year old. She gave him complementary items from their salad bar (which only servers were serving from due to COVID) for him to enjoy while my husband and I had our soup and salad. He enjoyed it so much!

I ordered the Pumpkin Soup, as one of their local restaurant week specials. For dinner my husband ordered steak and I had the Maple Dijon Salmon (one

Back to lake George this fall so we had to go to the Log Jam. The salad bar has been reimagined-you can't help yourself but you can look at the long list of choices and let your server know what you want. They bring your variety on a large platter to share with your table. The rest of the meal was awesome. We actually went there twice because we knew we would get great meal with awesome service. First night was crab stuffed shrimp with angel hair pasta and clam sauce. My husband had the crab legs-huge portions and just delicious. The second time was prime rib with the bone in-very big portion
