Since 1975, Pro Karate Center has been providing instruction in Karate and the martial arts in the Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Ozona, East Lake, Tarpon Springs and Clearwater areas. Pro Karate Center has been providing professional instruction in the Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Ozona, East Lake, Tarpon Springs and Clearwater area since 1975. Our instructors are dedicated to passing along skills, enthusiasm, and confidence to each and every student. We feel our programs are the best the area has to offer featuring well-organized classes for children, teens, and adults.

Pro Karate Center decorates the karate school with your favorite colors, balloons, streamers and birthday banners.
Students and enthusiasts of Karate have many reasons for their interest in this and other martial art styles. Some are drawn to the physical fitness and weight-loss aspects of training. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. While still others are concerned about safety and self-defense.
Your Isshinryu training will include the most up to date methods known for achieving total fitness and self-defense capabilities within a well organized, progressive, non-competitive format. You don't need to be "in shape" or know anything about the martial arts to get started. The best time is now to begin making confidence, fitness, and self-defense part of your life.

Absolutely astonished how the instructors captivate my kids with this art. We tried one day and immediately signed up my kids love it. The staff is kind and welcoming very family friendly and would not hesitate to recommend to other local families who are looking to find an enjoyable structured yet fun activity for the young kids that teaches discipline.

You will not find a more amazing place for you child to learn karate. Family owned business where the owners treat everyone as their own. They teach you child self defense, confidence, and respect. They value each and every student as if they were their own. We've been going there for more than 10 years! Love this place!!

In times when children and teens are influenced by what they see and hear on TV, in the news and life in general, Pro Karate is a great place for them to learn respect. Respect for themselves and for their parents, teachers, friends, grandparents, etc. The environment at Pro Karate is positive due to the great influence of Sensei Dean and Miss June. These folks are not only incredible owners of the Dojo, but dedicated parents and grandparents. Life time relationships can be built by enrolling your children, teens or yourself into classes. Pro Karate Center is fantastic! The owners, Sensei Dean and Miss June, are wonderful, caring people and are truly interested in your child's personal, physical and mental well-being, as are the other senseis. Exercise, karate instruction, fun activities, projects designed to give back to the community, dojo picnics, a competitive tournament team, sparring and traditional Isshinryu weapon training...what more could you ask for? A great, safe and friendly environment for both students and parents.

This studio came highly recommended, however, we chose not to partner with Pro Karate because of a very unfavorable first impression. We waited approximately ten minutes, as the staff casually engaged others over non-business related conversation, ignoring our presence.

You will not find a better dojo than Pro Karate Center. It is an amazing place that fosters your children to grow into amazing young adults. As a testament to their ability to help your children grow and become amazing young adults, just look at the Senseis that teach the classes. The majority of them started as children themselves at Pro Karate Center and moved up the ranks to black belt and teacher. That truly speaks volumes about the type of dojo it is.

Pro Karate Center in Palm Harbor Florida is the best Dojo in the Tampa Bay Area, they have highly trained instructors some of the best in the Tampa Bay Area, they are great with kids and teach them trust, respect, dignity, and responsibility, they have great summer classes and after school classes, I have known the Lavas Family for over 30 years and believe me they are all about the kids, their safety and education.My Son loved the fun and education He received and has helped him become a responsible adult. My son has been a student at Pro Karate Center for over 11 years. The staff has always been very caring and professional with my special needs child. He has worked with many of the Senseis there and they have all always had his best interest at heart. If you want your children to be taught the right values as well as develop their skills. this is the Dojo you should be bringing them to. Instructors are experienced and look out for the interest of the children. The competitive team reflects the skills and discipline they are taught and represent the Tampa bay area very well.
