WILL STAY AGAIN! We did not know what to expect when our friends made us a reso for New Years weekend. The front desk was very nice and helpful. The pool view into the mountains is WOW. The rooms are redone and have a craftmen- retro feel. Bed was very comfy. The room was spotless upon entering. Heated pool and hot tub. There is a cute fire pit to hang by as well. Fun music plays outside during the day which sets a chill positive vibe. There is free breakfast from 7a-10a everyday (bring some cash to tip the great guy that’s cooking). Eggs-Bacon- Toast- Juice-Coffee-Tea. If not your thing, Cartel

Staff was so helpful from the moment we stepped on campus. The breakfast each morning was diverse and delectable. Pool and hot tub were very warm and open 24 hours a day. Great restaurants, such as Uptown Gastropub, and coffee shops, such as Cartel, within walking distance. Throw in the mountain views and MCM vibe, and it was well worth the money!

I definitely recommend this place.
First of all, the communication about our late check in was perfect.
Also the staff is friendly and flexible.
The breakfast is great, many options.
The place is calm and quiet, and the pool is open 24/7, that’s a great point.
The view is also pretty good.
The only bad thing is the bathroom and the shower, need to get renovated. But it was not an issue for our stay.
We will be back for sure.

Super relaxing affordable hotel in Palm Springs. Great location and free parking. The staff is very friendly and they keep the grounds very clean. A comp breakfast every morning in a nice touch. A nice pool to sun by and read a book. The rooms are clean. Some of the rooms on the ground floor are more trendy with decor but don't have the full mountain view. I enjoyed the king room on the second floor with awesome mountain views but less trendy decor so know that when booking a room. All the rooms are on the pool.. The room had a nice bed and lots of space with a mini refrigerator. These rooms have

World’s best beds! As I lay here in the Skylark, I can’t help but reflect on how adorable this place is, but really the bed is absolutely lush! The Hotel has a pool and a hot tub, and boasts 24 hour swimming and byob (no glass!) to the pool area. The rooms are well air conditioned and the showers have little skylights to let the natural light in while you rinse off. The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, and the landscape and views are incredible. Can’t wait to visit again!!
Rooms are equipped with: fridge, coffee + maker, suitcase stand, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion

Staff is very friendly and helpful and always go out of their way (within reason of course) to try to accomodate and make a guest's experience a memorable one. Beautiful pool and nice jacuzzi, and a simple but yummy breakfast each morning. Only on Sunday mornings, sometimes they even have waffles :) I always tried to eat my breakfast early in the morning by the pool cause it was just so beautiful (and the weather then wouldn't be at 90*F yet heh). Great parking in the back, and they have security as well, which is good to know.

Boutique? I think not!
Well, its been a month and I still have not heard from management regarding my stay, therefore I am moving forward with my review.
This hotels website boasts a modern twist on a California 50's classic, Skylark Hotel offers 28 uniquely styled rooms meticulously restored to the character of the mid-century era.
My room was far less than meticulously restored, even for the 50's.
The hotel is isolated and secluded which is a good and bad thing, the bad is if you aren't careful you'll drive right by and miss the place; another negative is that because

We rolled in here at 6 PM, welcomed by the excellent folks who work here, and though the place doesn't look like much from the road it's kind of a little Modernist sanctuary inside, or, in human terms, a pretty simply designed and unpretentious place to stay, with everything you need, including a pool that's open 24 hours and a great breakfast. If you're looking for something super fancy this might not be the place for you but when I'm in the desert I'm looking for something that lets me be in the desert and this is it. An amazing view of the mountains over the office

Every metal surface to access doors were unprotected and hot enough to burn hands. No elevators to the second floor which made carrying in luggage in 108° heat extremely difficult and tiring up rotting stairs. No central air (really? In Palm Springs?) Was charged a resort fee of $25.00 for one night for facililities that provided little shade but the pool looked clean. Extremely disappointed so far. I knew it wasn’t the Ritz, but.....

Skylark is an awesome little boutique hotel that is super close to downtown Palm Springs. Driving is literally ten minutes or less, there's plenty of street parking if you can't fit into the tiny parking lot in the back of the hotel.
The complimentary breakfast is much better than I expected, there are waffles on weekends. Everything is to go with pandemic going on but I felt very safe and you can eat outside by the pool. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. You have to ask the front desk for pool towels. There is a microwave you can use in their office.
Minor downside is that

Skylark is a boutique family friendly hotel in a part of town you wouldn't expect. I like it because its a hidden little oasis and there is a fantastic pool and hot tub open 24 hours as well as a nice outdoor fire for socializing. Breakfast is included and its better the best western or a quality inn. Because of the are all door securely locked front and back I feel safe that the homeless and stray vagrants wont come in. The staff is very friendly and the rooms very clean.

The Skylark Hotel is a Motel 6 with an orange color scheme. We went with a large group of people expecting a group rate, but did not receive it. This group rate is one of their selling points on their website, but we weren't made aware we wouldn't be receiving the rate until check out (tip: he said that booking via booking.com is what excluded us on this so if for some reason you do choose to stay here, keep that in mind. We didn't know this and all were under the impression when checking in that it was still going to be a part of our deal). Speaking of checking out, we were met

My stay started off shaky as the front desk was extremely rude as we checked in. I was told there was a photo shoot happening around the pool, I pleasantly replied we'll avoid the camera. The concierge says "I'd hope so, I'd hate to have to grab you out of the pictures...". Even if they meant it as a joke, it was extremely rude.
The room definitely left a lot to be desired. I'd hate to believe we got a bad room intentionally- theres pictures of the bathroom as proof in this review. Upon checkout, I asked for a folio. I asked ahead of it being printed was I being

A cute hotel on the exterior but beware of room 11! The air conditioner runs like a jet plane and was so loud. We asked them to switch our rooms but they wouldn't do it. They said they were sold out but rooms were still not occupied as all guests had not checked in so they could have switched us. We ended up leaving and finding another hotel down the street. Quite the bummer after a long hot drive.

Skylark is still my go-to hidden gem of Palm Springs. Pull up in front to check in and once you get on the other side of the doors you'll see their beautiful little oasis. This is a boutique hotel with about 40 rooms. They have a fire pit that they light at night, jacuzzi, and my personal favorite, the 24 hour heated pool. Where else can you find that?! They play chill music over the speakers out by the pool and enforce quiet hours overnight.
This hotel is located on the main drag as you're driving into Palm Springs. Continue down the same street for just a few minutes drive or about

I LOVED this place. I could have watched this view, the clouds drifting over the huge MOUNTAIN seen just behind the pool, for hours. And we could have, because 2 of the rooms- 38, which was our room, and 40 - are on the second floor, looking directly at that view, with chairs in front of the doors if you wanted to sit. Those rooms were pretty big, too.
The fire pit was great. The fellow guests we met were really nice. The hotel was surprisingly quiet, even though our room was above the breakfast room (we heard just a tiny bit of the TV from there). The people working there were friendly and so

Overall a nice quiet hotel within 1 mile of downtown Palm Springs. Hotel has been renovated, however you will find some furniture items in need of replacement. The hotel has 1/2 of the rooms in a 1 story section and 1/2 in a 2 story section. Would recommend staying away from the 1st floor rooms with the units above. We stayed in a 1st floor unit with a unit above and its pretty loud with footsteps and voices.

We decided to stay an extra day in Palm Springs after a friend's wedding and there were limited hotels available. Skylark was on the cheaper side and looked to have all the amenities we were looking for in terms of a place to lay our heads and maybe get some pool time in before heading home.
The rooms are comfortable and they have large TVs with a multitude of channels to choose from. Depending on when you go, the pool can get quite crowded - sometimes with adults looking to party, other times with screaming children, so as you can see - there are all walks of life that come to enjoy the
