I was treated like family from the moment I walked in the door. The coaches there are some of the best I've ever trained with and I felt they genuinely wanted to see me improve. In only six months they made me twice the fighter I was when I started. I was sad to leave but any time I'm back in the triangle I'll make time to stop back at the U!
Services
Our classes focus on teaching proper technique to all of our students, regardless of skill level. We welcome you to join us regardless of your experience or training goals. United Thai Boxing & MMA was established after the Triangle's only Muay Thai-based training gym closed suddenly in 2012. We realized that no other gym in the Triangle area offered authentic Muay Thai-based training with the same frequency and quality.
Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing or Thai Kickboxing, is the foundation of our training program at United Thai Boxing & MMA. Muay Thai is often referred to as the "Art of Eight Limbs" because it utilizes strikes from fists, feet, elbows and knees. Muay Thai originated from the ancient muay boran fighting techniques developed by the Siamese military for hand-to-hand combat.
Choose a Muay Thai Level I class time, arrive 15 minutes early, and start your free trial! Private and Semi-Private instruction is available in Muay Thai, MMA and Strength & Conditioning. Rates vary by: private (one-to-one) session, semi-private (up to 4 students per instructor) and type of training.

Off the bat, I came here specifically for Muay Thai, so can't comment on the others.

So, I'm kind of having a hard time with this review. They are super, super nice people... but it's just not quite there. I've been to a bunch of better and worse Muay Thai gyms, and this place falls somewhere in the bottom.

1. Quality. This is really the biggest issue; nobody there is really qualified to teach Muay Thai. One of the trainers is a (lovely!) kid of 17 or 18 who just does not have enough experience, and the other is an older man who just has no muay thai skills. I never did see

It's family here. My family and I have been coming here for 4 yrs.
The energy is great.
Coach Alex is an awesome instructor. He relates well with kids and adults.
TK runs the place smoothly. She is always available and helps with getting you whatever you might need like gloves, hand wraps and the like.
My family and I would not trade this gym for another.
We belong here.

Great gym! I would recommend this gym for beginners and for advanced fighters. Today was my first class after taking 2 years off of muay Thai and I felt 100% comfortable getting started here. It's a challenging workout that will definitely push your limits. Coach B made sure to give everyone personal attention to work on his/her weakness. The energy was high. The facility was clean. Great gym. I'm excited to start training here more regularly.

This is a great facility with great coaching. They focus a lot on technique, having fun, and giving it 100% each time you're in the gym. Alex is an awesome coach and uses a lot of patience and analogies to make sure each student fully understands each drill. Highly recommend that everybody who's looking at finding real traditional Muay Thai training checking them out.
