A great place to workout and improve your wellness.
The owners Nick & Steph are super friendly, knowledgeable and this trickles down through the whole staff. I had tried a couple of other gyms before committing to RVCF and they really couldn't compare. The coaches are extremely helpful at teaching or improving upon somewhat difficult exercises.
I highly recommend Ross Valley Cross Fit!

I cannot say enough good things about Ross Valley Crossfit. If you want to get into Crossfit, but don't know where to start, you need to join this gym.
This is a small business where the owners are present and it shows. I was brand new to Crossfit when I started at the gym a few months ago. The trainers (there are currently 5 including the owners) are all highly knowledgeable, patient, encouraging and focused on the entire class getting a challenging, safe workout. Most classes have a range of folks from very experienced to novice. The instructors are able to seamlessly manage this

I joined RVC because after months of watching participants run in and out of the building while on my a.m. commute (I know super creepy, right?)--I decided I had enough of talking about my poor fitness. Since enrolling 4 weeks ago, I am sleeping better, drinking more water, eating healthier, and holding my head higher. The entire RVC experience is one of support, community, and most importantly: holistic health. At their annual BBQ yesterday, I spoke with other members and staff (Nick and Steph) about diet, personal goals, lifestyle choices, alternative medicine, etc. That stuff's priceless

I've been a member of Ross Valley CrossFit for almost three years and love it! Everyone is friendly and helpful, there's a real sense of community. I never thought I'd enjoy it as I've been a member of many gyms and never enjoyed the classes or standard routines laid out by trainers, these workouts are fun, challenging and different every day. Well worth checking it out

Here's my profile when I started CrossFit: female, mid-50s, overweight, spend my work day sitting, recently finished getting a doctorate. Totally out of shape. Had never lifted a barbell or a kettle bell or a hand weight. Never been part of a school sports team (those were pre-Title IX days after all).
But I knew Nick from back in his karate sensei days, and thought that if he could teach a group of wiggling 5 year olds, he and Steph could teach me what I needed to know. Before I went, I didn't think I would last after my month trial offer was up but I did and that was two years ago

I can't believe I've been working out here for 3 years and I still haven't written a review. This place is great! Great vibe, energetic atmosphere, smiling faces....
I was able to climb mountains because of their awesome cardio and weights programming. Honestly, I didn't think I could have survived Mt Kilimanjaro if it weren't for my crossfit training. Before RVC, I never even wanted to park my car uphill.
RVC also showed me the ways of taking care of myself including eating well, rest days, good sleep etc...It's great for beginners and people like me who like

Like most people, I had lots of friends who would not stop talking about Crossfit. Last October I realized I really needed to get back in the gym for some weight training, so I thought I would give Crossfit a chance and see what all the hype was about.
I live in San Rafael, and a little online research led me to Ross Valley Crossfit's yelp page. I was immediately intrigued by all the amazingly positive reviews, so I decided to go check it out in person. Little did I know at the time, but this was the beginning of my journey into a new sport that would drastically change my life for the better

Okay, so I'm not the most consistent crossfitter, but I do make an effort to come about twice a week and have been visiting this location for a little over a year. Nick and Stephanie are both awesome instructors, super friendly and willing to help out all levels. There are some insanely strong and amazing people that attend these classes - and while I'm not one of them, I've definitely noticed that I am much stronger and more toned than before I started. The workouts are insane and so much better than what you could do on your own. Totally worth the $$. Nick is also great at accommodating

The workouts are awesome and when you're done you feel invigorated. I have never gotten results in a traditional gym like I have here. Since returning to RVC after having my first child I am down below my pre-pregnancy weight and feel in the best shape of my life.
The community is filled with supportive people who have similar goals and want to see everyone succeed. The coaching is phenomenal, every coach takes great care to make sure technique and form are executed correctly. A fun atmosphere with people who have a passion for fitness. I cannot say enough good things about RVC. Join and

I'm not sure how they did it, but Steph and Nick have created a version of me that loves going to the gym. And after 6-9 months or asking my "hate to workout" husband to try it, he now wakes up at 6am just to make it in before he treks to the city.
The workouts are so different every day that I am always working on some new area and its changing my body - and my mood!
But, truthfully - thats not the only reason I go. They have created a community of people of all body types and fitness levels that come in and work hard every day. Its inspiring. I couldn't go anywhere

Since I am a two-year (and counting!) RVC member it is ridiculous that I have not yelped about it yet.
I have been a member of every gym in Marin (seriously) - and even an employee of one - but RVC is the best, hands down. I can confidently say that joining RVC has changed my life for the better in many ways.
Crossfit was something I had wanted to try for years but was always nervous due to how "tough" all the other boxes (ie Crossfit gyms) looked. RVC offers a welcoming, fun, yet seriously intense, place to workout that has changed my idea of fitness for the better. I no longer do

I loved working out here! I was snagged into giving this place a shot by a Living Social deal, and at first I was reticent about going: The hardcore people are just so overwhelmingly fit that it's daunting. But I tried it out, and after finally recovering from soreness a week later I went again (it's an intense workout!). Before I knew it I was hooked. The trainers and the people who work out there are all nice and supportive too, so even if you're lifting baby weights at first (like me), it's totally fine.
I'd say the only negative things I can think of is that the facility
