Armed with a mission to provide the citizens of the Lafayette community with professional, sympathetic and expert service, Mr. and Mrs. Kinchen used the space on one side of their home for wakes and viewing and their embalming room was sectioned off from the garage.
Staff members of Kinchen Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Eric M. Singleton was born to Jimmie and Enrica Kinchen Singleton in Lafayette, LA.

Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

I would like to thank all the staff at Kinchen for their patience and guidance in helping me plan the funeral of my stepfather Corlvin Prejean.
Doris,Eric,Cecil , Chris and others were amazing!
He was presented in such a natural state and they were all professional yet friendly, warm and kindhearted. It is no simple task to bury your loved one . Without their constant communication and advice, I would have been lost.
