Greenlawn Memorial Gardens offers a serene, natural landscape for the interment of your loved ones. Situated on 45 acres of pristine, pastoral land in Upper Lafayette, Greenlawn is best known for its beautiful, registered oak trees and gardens. Currently we offer in-ground spaces, above-ground tombs, and mausoleum crypts for both traditional and cremation burials, and is the only cemetery with a dedicated "Infant Rest" section.
In 2011, Gene Walters of Walters Funerals, LLC announced the acquisition of the business from the family of Judge Allen Babineaux after an ownership spanning more than four decades. Walters had a unique interest in the property due to its proximity to Walters Funeral Home, which he opened in 2010 within the same block of North University.

Have peace of mind knowing that your loved ones gravesite is marked by a unique and customized Memorial Bouquet furnished by Greenlawn. Perhaps you want to leave your husband roses on your wedding anniversary or thank your mom for everything she did on Mother's Day with a spring bouquet. The staff at Greenlawn will create the bouquet, write your message on the enclosed card should you so desire, and place it at the gravesite for you.
Interment Rights on cemetery lots of any size, from single burial spaces to family estates, are available for purchase. As a perpetual care cemetery, the purchase price provides for maintenance of the cemetery with no annual assessments. In addition, some merchandise is available for pre-purchase, such as vaults, tombs, and headstones.
