Services
Founded in 1961 by Louis P. and R. Lorraine Mercadante, our funeral home is located at 370 Plantation Street in Worcester, in the former home of the Curtis Family. This once tree-lined street seemed, at the time of our founding, to be an awkward location for a funeral home because of our distance from the main flow of traffic.
Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel is a full service funeral home providing considerate, compassionate and professional services to all families. Availability to make funeral arrangements at funeral home, or in the privacy of your own home. Members of National Funeral Directors Association; and the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Associations.
Route 495 South to Exit 65A (Old Exit 25A), for 290 West, to Exit 25 (Main St., Shrewsbury, Route 70) Bottom of ramp turn right. At 2nd traffic light turn left onto Plantation Street. Funeral home is 1 mile on left. If you come to UMASS you just went by the funeral home. At bottom of ramp turn right.

I highly recommend Mercadante Funeral Home for anyone's end of life needs. From the first call I made after my mom's passing until the end of the services at the cemetary they were there beside me every step of the way with patience, compassion and guidance. They will go out of their way to try and meet your needs and help with what's appropriate and customary as well as incorporating your own suggestions. Kevin Mercadante and his entire staff at Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel made a very difficult and emotional situation so much easier tp get through. They were attentive, and took the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. Kevin even took our calls when he was out of the office and never made us feel like we were imposing. I would highly recommend their services. Our family has used them for many of our family funerals and never once thought of changing funeral homes.

Kevin along with the entire staff at Mercadante are pure professionals. They were so kind & helpful in assisting me with transporting my loved one from out of the area. I was overwhelmed & stressed by the whole process. They took care of all the details, kept me updated & just made a difficult time so much more bearable. I’m so grateful for this. The entire staff at Mercadante's was wonderful and extremely helpful to me and my family during this most difficult time. They answered every question and made sure we understood our options. Kevin is a very compassionate person he helped my family and i with everything and always willing to help out even after the funeral services were complete and i also want to add that his daughter Michelle is also very helpful and compassionate with my needs and everytime you need to call the funeral home tara is very pleasant to speak to everyone there is super nice including the limo driver
